Good to see this **** flop.

The ticket strategies were also very different, largely due to Dana White. MayPac tickets were priced much higher and only 500 tickets were sold to fans leaving promoters and Casinos to buy those tickets. MayMac tickets were sold almost entirely to the general public and priced cheaper than MayPac. Allowing industry insiders who have deep pockets to battle for tickets probably led to more tickets being sold. Judging by the ticket pricing of MayMac, I don't see how this could've ever surpassed MayPac's gate.Comment

2 months of promoting May/Mac and it became the 2nd highest gate behind May/Pac, and that fight had a build up of 5+ years. I guess for everyone calling this a flop, we should expect Canelo/GGG to do better than May/Mac since their fight had been been building for 2 years and considered a real super fight.Comment

Isn't this sports entertainment?
Wasn't this more entertaining than May/PAC, May/Canelo, May/Guerrero, May/Berto combined?!
I'd say so.
I happily parted w my $, and threw a massive fight party, and it was truly a memorable event.
And I'm an account deletion away from being a casual.
That's what casuals are--casual fans of a sport, but hardcore fanatics of big events.
They're the same people who make nonsense like the Kentucky derby, Daytona 500, and The Masters big events.
They don't give a **** about the outcome.
This was the ultimate fight for casuals.
May/PAC was a chess match, with both fighters respecting the threat each other posed. Therefore, to casuals it was boring. But they'll be back for the next one--they always are.
This happened to be a perfect storm sports entertainment-wise.Comment
