So, Ward just fought Kovalev, twice, but he's being accused of ducking Stevenson, who has been on a bum parade for three or four years and never fought anyone near Kovalev's quality? Makes sense.

Alvarez is obviously owed an over-due title-shot, BUT at Adonis' age, I do not blame him for looking to fight Andre Ward instead. He may be able to beat Alvarez, but a fight against Ward would do a bit more for his legacy (and bank).
Humm! What about 1.3 million for Fonfara1, 2 million for Sukhotsky, 3 million for Bika, 3 million for Karpency, 3 million for Williams and 3 million for Fonfara2. Since Bika, Stevenson is making an average purse of 3 million per fights.
Kovalev first payday was Hopkins for 700K, Pascal"1&2" for 3.3 million, Mohammedi for 750k, Chilemba for 1 million and Ward1 for 2 million, Ward2 for $0.

I mean, Andre Ward vs Adonis Stevenson would generate way more than Ward/Kovalev. Why Ward is still ducking Stevenson?

Ward likes to take his sweet time. He won't be rushed into anything, but I don't think either is ducking the other. I think Stevenson is looked upon as a coward, but his poor quality of opponents have been a result of Haymon's mismanagement. A fight between Ward & Stevenson would sell-out in Quebec, but I don't think it would be a big PPV success. It makes sense for both guys, but Ward probably thinks he has more options...like an Anthony Joshua fight lol

Humm! we're talking about an Undisputed matchup against an old 40 years old guy. If it's not part of Ward options; there is a considerable problem here.
*Let's call it as it is, Ward is ducking Stevenson.

The long overdue mandatory fight between light heavyweight world champion Adonis Stevenson (29-1, 24 KOs) and Eleider “Storm” Alvarez (23-0, 11 KOs) is in the works, promoter Yvon Michel told ESPN on Wednesday. “We are looking for a December date in Quebec City,” said Michel of the fight that would match two Quebec-based fighters. Stevenson, who turned 40 last week, and Alvarez, 33, are on the same schedule as they fought on the same card in their last bouts on June 3 in Montreal. Stevenson drilled Andrzej Fonfara in the second round and Alvarez won a majority decision against former world champion Jean Pascal. For a variety of reasons, Stevenson, has not made a mandatory defense since stopping Tony Bellew in the sixth round in November 2013.

Did you just make those purses up for Stevenson or are they real? Lol, if so, no wonder PBC went broke so fast paying guys like Stevenson that money to fight stiffs fight after fight for years.
