I like Adonis, but he was not concerned that "there wasn't any money" in fighting Williams, Karpency, or Sukhotskiy. There would be more interest in Quebec for Stevenson vs Alvarez than for any of those previously mentioned opponents. Alvarez is obviously owed an over-due title-shot, BUT at Adonis' age, I do not blame him for looking to fight Andre Ward instead. He may be able to beat Alvarez, but a fight against Ward would do a bit more for his legacy (and bank).

There is nowhere left for Stevenson to run and hide. The champs and real contenders are breathing down his neck and he now has no choice but to face a real worthy threat. The end is nigh for Stevenson. I could see him beating Alvarez but it will be tough, Jack and Ward both outwork and beat him imo.Comment

Stevenson has been holding the WBC belt hostage. He keeps calling out these big names but is reluctant to face them when it comes down to the wire. I'd watch Stevenson/Kovalev (although the Krusher is coming off 2 consecutive losses so I think he needs to get back on the winning lane first) or Stevenson/Ward. Those are solid fights in my opinion.Comment

Theres nobody in boxing i wanna see dethroned more than that clown paper champ adonis stevenson. He talks all that **** about wanting to fight ward or kovalev but always settles on the weakest fighter available. He waited until Fonfara had been knocked out by joe smith and been in wars with a faded chad dawson and nathan cleverly before he gave him a rematch and predictably destroyed what little was left of Fonfara. I feel bad for Alvarez cuz adonis is ducking him for 2 years now and wont get his chance at the belt while stevenson holds it hostage. The WBC should strip him of the belt for his insistence on avoiding championship caliber oppositionComment
