Wlad knocking Joshua down was interesting.

A top form Wlad absolutely destroying Pulev was also interesting. Pulev is a plodder with a half decent jab, Joshua will ice him easier than he did Molina and Martin, he wont cause Joshua any problems whatsoever.

Yes that was by Klitschko and not Joshua - Klitschko years ago would of KTFO Anthony Joshua and ended his boxing career. PLUS that canvas was dodgy - bouncy bouncy.

I remember when Wlad-Pulev happened I was kinda impressed with Pulev. Watched it back recently and wasn't so impressed, he did give a good effort, tried hard but it didn't amount to much. I remember being underwhelmed by his performance against Thompson as well, and vs Chisora he was basically just doing a John Ruiz impression.

Joshua is still very flawed for a unified HW champion, but i dont think Pulev will be the one to exploit them. His feet are too slow, defence too leaky and he doesnt have much pop.

I think AJ will tear him apart at mid range and inside same as he eventually did to Wlad. These big Euros arent used to a man trying to get himself free from clinches and using tight hooks and uppercuts. Pulevs defence also is mostly built around him being pretty tall (though not actually that tall), he just pulls back keeps his arms and shoulders high and shorter opponents struggle to get to his chin. But AJ is taller than him same as Wlad was, and his static head and stiff upper body isnt going to be good enough

If you can punch with AJ or counter him then he could be in big trouble, or if you can keep him moving and not allow him to set his feet. But Pulev isnt really that kind of fighter. Ortiz or Wilder represent much tougher challenges and legitimately dangerous fights.

That said this is HW boxing, and AJ isnt in his prime yet. Anyone weighing that much has a shot.
