Yeah, but some might make the argument that some guys he beat were better than what he would have saw against those fellows in the ring.

Truth is Kostya didn't want Floyd.

PWill and Winky were probably bonafide ducks tho.

RJJ is the best I've seen too from my era of watching boxing but there's the steroid issue which taints him. I think Roberto Duran at his absolute peak is the most complete fighter we have on extensive footage.

I agree. Ali is not just the greatest Icon in boxing, but in sport, period.

Ray Leonard, Hearns and peak lightweight to Montreal Duran beat Floyd handily imo. I also believe Jose Napoles beats him and Kid Gavilan and Pryor would give him major problems. There's great lightweights other than Duran who would give him real issues as well. There's more boxers than people think that have styles that could potentially beat Floyd due to watching some of his poorer showings.

I personally don't believe Floyd is in the conversation as GOAT or even top 10 but he's an ATG in amongst the top 30 which is still an unbelievable achievement.

It will only get stronger as you say but not strong enough for him to be considered as GOAT. I'm not comfortable with that. It just wouldn't be right.
      Greb is God

Skill wise he's the GOAT and should considered top 10 by anyone who really knows the sport. Bumgarito couldn't even beat Daniel Santos beating him means nothing. Williams lost to Quintana and nobody ever put him in the same sentence as Floyd. Tszyu would've got the fight but he lost to Hatton so Hatton got it. You're clutching at straws, the guys he beat were better than the guys you mentioned. 26 world champions on his resume and you trolls still moan about his competition SMH. What do you want? The dude to fight 35-40 world champs? Skill wise he's the best ever whether you like it or not. There's never been anyone with as much skill, ever.

Impossible to properly compare ATGs from different eras and different weight classes IMO.

If it was Floyd who had fought and beat The Blade Floyd fans would be elevating The Blade to ATG material and would constantly talk about how Floyd beat him when Hearns couldn't LOL.

Duran beat prime Leonard which is arguably the single greatest win in boxing history. It's the only great he beat above 135 but it's some win considering he was above his prime weight and considering how brilliant Leonard was. The rest of your point regarding Duran above 135 is spot on. He wasn't as dedicated to training, got fat between fights and spent most camps cutting weight. He lost to guys Floyd would toy with. Even the version who beat Mcgregor would toy with some of the guys Duran lost to. Duran still managed to get his **** together for certain fights and beat a much bigger formidable guy in Iran Barkley against the odds. Even Davie Moore was the hot favourite against Duran after knocking out Ayube Kalule two fights previous. I know Duran lost against Hagler but that was a special performance from Duran even though he clearly lost. He was up on the cards after 12 (I don't agree with that btw) but gassed in the last 3. Hagler was in his absolute prime and Duran was the first to take him 15 rounds in a title fight. Duran managed to compete with Hagler through sheer grit, skill and ring craft and nothing much else as he was way past best and hugely outsized by Hagler. Hagler said he earned his PhD in boxing after fighting Duran. That's respect.
DJ your whopping tail in this thread man....you make a good point about mayweather not beating all the 80's greats and keeping his zero. i even made this point in the mayweather mosley thread asking would mayweather go 6-0 vs prime forest/oscar and winky(2 times a piece) lol i'm not sure he could do that let alone clear out the 80's greats.......

Floyd has never even been knocked down before. 50 fights and not even a flash KD.

You have to watch the Judah fight in super slow mo, like a creep lookin for a nipple-slip just to find a single flaw in his 21 year career! Thats insane.
