I love how they refuse to admit that they aren't getting full licensing fees from ESPN, just media help. How long before he gets pissed at them and burns that bridge? The saddest part about the whole thing is that the only "working together" that Arum is interested in is everyone doing exactly as he wants, fighting under his banner for whatever he feels like paying folks.
Arum will never and one of his guys out to fight under another promoters banner, yet he has the gall to *****.
Arum sold ESPN a bill of bull****, ESPN turned around and gave him 16 dates, and Arum is coming to terms with the reality that he can't deliver what he promised without help (an issue made more existential to his company after the splitting from HBO).
On another note, Arum is king at doing his best NOT to work with others and to keep everything in-house. Unless, of course, he can promote it.Comment

Then why does he continue to propose in house fights? Horn VS Vargas instead of having Horn unify.Comment

The biggest enemy of boxing is boxing promoters. They f#ck over fighters & prevent fights. The 2nd biggest enemy of boxing is abc groups. The UFC is far down the enemy list at best. Boxings status quo of f#cking over fans is its biggest enemy easily & what leads people away from the sport.Comment

Arum suggested that UFC is boxing's main enemy - and in order to beat the UFC the main promoters in boxing would have to put their rivalries aside to work together in order to make the best fights.
I've heard this storyline before. I think he's talking about the Dana White Walkers.

Yep, especially since "boxers are all Hillary supporters" lol

I can't believe Arum went so hard on UFC fans being racist. I disagree because you could argue the UFC is more inclusive than boxing. The UFC does better at promoting fighters from all over the world, not to mention the job they're doing promoting female fighters. I watch both sports but I like boxing a lot more. Promoters like Arum could take a page from the UFC in putting on the fights fans want to see. Also, not waiting years for the best to fight the best.Comment

I don't agree with what bob about UFC fan all being racists nor do I see MMA as boxing's enemy. I do think he makes a fair point about the fanbase being white males (not the Cuck supporter nonsense) which is obvious during the broadcasts.
I see MMA and Boxing as 2 completely different realms despite the "combat sports" theme that has been shoveled to us the last few years.Comment

According to this recent poll (small sample size so idk how much faith you wanna put in it), but it claims black people are MMA's biggest demographic racially. Hispanic are boxings to no surprise.I don't agree with what bob about UFC fan all being racists nor do I see MMA as boxing's enemy. I definitely feel like MMA is more popular with black people these days than boxing. So this white power thing with MMA hasn't made any sense to me ever with its roots largely from South America from the 90's on, but particularly in recent years when I've noticed growth with non-white MMA fighters + the fans.Comment
