How the **** does AJ gas so quickly?

Stamina doesnt come from training it comes from actual IN ring real fight experience . Boxing 101 .
The more you get rnds in , the more you condition the body physically and mentally . You LEARN what rnds to throw more or less if need be ,and you get accustomed to your punch output .
Joshua never went past 3rnds prior to Whyte and had to control breathing after a few rnds in also after rnd 1 where that after rnd scuffle clearly threw him off a bit .
No one with bad stamina goes 11 rnds when hes only gone 7 twice in 18 fights and he did so against a huge puncher who blasted him in rnd 6 which certainly should have hindered Joshua chances going 11 and at 250 pounds a very heavy weight to test those waters .
Joshua trains as hard as he does bc he has to for his size and style which REQUIRES more energy .
People who keep saying Joshua has no stamina dont know what they are talking about ,shocking !

He gassed a bit in the Wlad fight but got one heck of a second wind...so can't really complain about him gassing. It's not exactlt Mac or Canelo is it...unless you can show me otherwise.Comment

He went 11 rounds with Wlad in a fight where more punches were thrown by guys of their size than pretty much anything ever and knocked his man out in the 11th. Hardly stamina issues there - nobody with bad stamina does that. Yeah he gassed a bit in what was it round 5 or so but he also got clobbered with a big shot and was throwing a crazy amount of leather before that.
If you want to talk about real gassing out look at McgreggorComment

A lot of bulk. Loads up at times.
It's also a mental thing with a lot of fighters.
I'll admit as he's gained experienced he has improved in areas that would help his stamina.
I think he got tired in his last night because he had a lot of nervous engery.Comment

He wasn't gassed at round 6. He was toying of at Whyte in round 6 and won it pretty easy. Obviously he gets tired and you can see his movement and punches get slower but that's with every boxer especially heavyweights.. They will naturally get tired as the rounds go on but there's a difference between gassing and getting tired. His punch out remained the same in round 6... Whereas when he gassed against Vlad his punch output drastically dropped.Last edited by NahMean; 09-05-2017, 06:14 AM.Comment

Yeah a mix of these 3. Bulk, explosive energy burning style and he isnt all that relaxed in the ring.
I was impressed by his recovery vs Wlad as I thought he was done done, but it did take him a while.
Hes making the right noises about taking cardio more seriously, hopefully he is. I think 250lbs is far too big for him tbh.Comment
