When GGG makes canelo look as limited like lemieux would he be one of the greatest?

Once ggg makes canelo look like a limited fighter the way he did to lemeuix would he be in the conversation of one of the greatest of our current era? Serious question. I'm bookmarking this thread.

You should change that when to an if because the fight hasn't happened yet and nobody including you knows how that fight will go. The odds are almost even with GGG only a slight favorite. All the posters who say they know who will win be it GGG or Canelo do not know the winner in advance and are just guessing. That is one of the reasons the two men are fighting each other. We will know who actually wins this fight when the fight is over and not before it starts.

I think GGG is great for what he has already done. If he beats Canelo that would add to GGG's greatness but he hasn't done that yet. Canelo is a different boxer than Lemieux with more hand speed and better boxing skills. than Lemieux. I think GGG will beat Canelo but his win over Lemieux by use of a long, strong jab and long boxing doesn't mean he beats the faster, smarter and more skilled Canelo in the same easy fashion.

Its already started. IMO Charlo is a bit of a mystery. He looked good against J-rock but didn't look good at all in his last fight. I don't think he is ready to fight Golovkin but his new fans don't care. He is just a means to an end.

Canelo is way more skilled than Lemieux. To paint them as the same type of fighter is a display of ignorance. I think GGG will try to bully Canelo and will be less cautious than with Lemieux. However, Canelo will give G much more to think about than Lemieux did with his primitive style.

I wouldn't say GGG is an ATG after just this one win. But GGG is obviously very good, and a win here would legitimize him as an elite fighter. A clear win here added to the close win over Jacobs would be a FOTY worthy run.
