Can mayweather get to 86-0 or not? I say not. He barely made it 2/3 of the way there. JCC could've retired at 86-0 but he kept fighting, you can't fault him for that. The record for most consecutive wins to start a career is 86, by JCC.

If Mayweather hadn't cherry-picked and went on multiple retirements he may have already lost a couple times.

Fighting the cans Chavez fought he do it easy, you can only win that amount of fights when the opposition is mediocre.

That's right Floyd never fought the bums Chavez did, no fighter today takes that road, they cant because public pressure doesn't allow it, a great cannot lament fighting bum after bum like they did many years ago.

Go through history and look at any fighter with 80 and above wins and you will find 30-40 top wins and the rest cans and that goes for greats like Robinson Monzon and Duran.

Duran in the fight right before Ray Leonard he fought a guy that had 7 fights with 2 loses.

Also, I totally agree with you. Why the hell Sr is salty about all this is ridiculous. He may have been 50-0 first, but he still ended up losing.

Also, that breakdown you gave of those dudes' records at his landmark fights (i.e. 30, 40, 50) had me ROOOOOOOOOLLLLLLIIIIIIIIINNNNNNG
Alright I exaggerated, i'm as white as he is, not whiter

Yeah, JCC Sr, had the popular padding style of upbringing in his career, so his record benefits from this inflation and makes it look a lot better than it is, but not that it's not a great record even if you subtract all the tomato can padding, it's still great.
