Boxing is the only sport in the world where people can be pleased with a participant coming out and not trying. I'm from the South, which is college football country. And early in the season, you see a lot of teams facing cupcakes. Alabama started out with a tough one last night, so it's not the best example. But when Bama pays some dip**** Division II school a million bucks to come to Tuscaloosa so they can kick the **** outta them. How well would it be received if Nick Saban decided to play 8 against 11 the first three quarters to carry Nutsack U for most of the game? And then roll his starters out there at the beginning of the fourth quarter and go ahead and put the game away? I doubt it would viewed favorably. Because that's about the equivalent of what Floyd did last Sat night.
Yup, mediocrity thy name is Floyd.

I'll disagree and contend that Floyd's effort APPEARED less than 100% because his plan was to let McGregor punch himself out as soon as possible. That meant essentially little to no counter punching and limited movement to avoid discouraging Conor. Once Conor was spent, Floyd stepped it up and took him out.

I do agree that his choice of opponent to mark his record-breaking 50th win was crap. But with so many fans willing to pay big cash for him to fight McGregor, he's perfectly entitled to laugh all the way to the bank.

While I agree with what he's saying...coming from Aldo just isn't right. He's salty AF - and will continue to bury McGregor every chance he gets. It kills him that on the big stage, McGregor embarrassed him.

Should he lie lol , you people are so narrow minded its incredible, I don't care how salty someone is if they are asked a question and don't lie in the answer.

Be like asking Geronimo whether the whites are fair and then you come along and say he is salty lol.

Even if Floyd's gameplan was to walk McGregor down and keep mental and physical pressure on him unti he was spent. The way Floyd went about it was completely amateurish. Floyd didn't do much the first three rounds. But he did touch McGregor with a couple body shots that I felt took a lot out of Connor. Then he basically put up earmuffs and walked straight at McGregor either throwing wild punches or pushing shots. He never worked behind a jab. He never moved his head coming in. He never attempted to use any angles or lateral movement. He never attempted to cut the ring off. To believe that Floyd gave a maximum effort. You would also have to believe that Floyd, one of the greatest technicians in boxing history, completely forgot very basic techniques and strategies. You didn't watch Floyd let McGregor punch himself out. You saw Floyd carry McGregor. And the only reason Floyd finished McGregor when he did was because he got caught with a body shot that hurt him at the beginning of the ninth round. Only at that point did Floyd decide to step on the gas and stop McGregor. If Floyd doesn't get hit with that shot that hurt him. He was perfectly content to BS his way to a decision win. I mean, McGregor was dead tired from about the fourth/fifth round. Floyd could have done what he did in the ninth and tenth several rounds earlier.
