Comments Thread For: Aldo Says McGregor Getting Too Much Credit For Boxing Debut

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo believes his MMA rival, Conor McGregor, is getting way too much credit for last Saturday's performance against Floyd Mayweather. McGregor, the current UFC lightweight champion, was making his professional boxing debut against one of the best defensive fighters in the history of the sport.

He probably gets too much credit for his MMA achievements, as well.

Aldo is right. Floyd let McGregor punch himself out the first 4 or 5 rounds and then went to work.

Yea, he's getting way too much credit for being unable to do much more than foul until he got finished. However, Aldo is definitely the wrong messenger.

Aldo is nothing more than a limited no chin can as far as boxing is concerned. Conor was stopped on his feet. Aldo gets stopped face down unconscious in his boxing debut. Not even Robert Garcia can turn this mma club fighter into a contender.

He's only getting credit from casuals who couldn't see Floyd carrying him into the 10th. Floyd even bet on a 10th round KO lol..

I don't know who this Aldo guy is but he spoke the honest truth.

The bottom line is Conor has to be respected for being taken out of his comfort zone and just dealing with it for the hefty paycheck. That's about it.

You're right...floyd wasn't trying to take him out with the hard shots he threw the previous rounds...just the ones in the 10th. Show me the line that floyd bet on...was it an over/under type bet or 10th round specifically? Or are you just parroting the same hear say as everyone else?
