never really heard anyone refer to margartito as a power house "puncher" people said he had decent power though, and he was HUGE for the weight class which helped
Why was Margarito considered a hard puncher and Mayweather feather fisted?

so here, let me spell it out for you so you can get the gratification you were looking for; it's because MARGARITO IS MEXICAN and MAYWEATHER is a BLACK AMERICAN. Black americans are not respected in the sport and are often faced with systemic racism.

and if you even followed boxing (and not just floyd) you'd know that margarito wasn't really known as a heavy puncher, but rather a volume puncher who was known for his high work rate and pressurized style of fighting.

You could say the same thing about Pacquiao at WW. Do you consider him a light puncher also? The question OP is asking why some people consider Mayweather feather-fisted when he has same number of KO's as Margarito.
When you look at his record most of his KO's are at the lower weight classes. Since he came to 147, we rarely see even a knockdown.
That is the reason he's not considered as powerful as Margarito despite having almost the same KO %.Comment

My point is you can't base it only on how he did at a WW especially if that's not his natural weight. If Golovkin move all the way up to HW and stop KO'ing other HWs you don't go back and say he wasn't a devastating puncher. A HW fighting WWs or MWs would probably have a 100% KO ratio. It should simply be based on their KO percentage. If Mayweather's and Margarito's have similar KO percentage then the argument is correct, neither one was a devastating puncher or they were both good punchers. Which ever argument you have for one should apply to the other.
People always have to parse information that's available to make whatever cuckoo argument they're trying to make.Comment
