I really didn't get that weight issue or crying by some, firstly GGG won. Secondly jacobs was fighting for the IBF belt, so he had zero obligation to weighing in again.

Idk why it's so hard for fans to concede when another fighter is good. I like GGG a lot, but I'm a boxing fan before I'm a fan of a fighter. Jacobs fought his ass off, and I scored the fight 6-6 with the KD being the differenceComment

Jacobs was acting dramatic on the ropes thinking he won. poor choice in celebrating. He gassed out in the latter rounds and had nothing left on his punches. At the final bell, he collapsed on the ropes like he just ran the Boston Marathon. Lucky for him the fight didn't go on for a few more rounds. The last two round DJ was in survival mode and that's about it. A rematch would probably not fare any better for him either.
Why is DJ even twitting or tweteing such BS??? IT's almost as if he's attempting to justify his losing effort when in all reality, he is steadily losing face with the general boxing fan. And I like the guy. But After watching the fight numerous times, it is clear as day that GGG won their bout and it wasn't even close.Comment

A lot of people whining and complaining about Jacobs following the rules of the belts he was fighting for. One of the weirdest things I've seen yetComment

Golovkin was basically maxed out at the IBF check weight early Saturday morning, so what are you talking about? You know what a Strawman's fallacy is?
I think most people saw GGG fight a Super MW, not a cruiserweight. His team claimed Jacobs was 176 pounds the day of the fight, which is what Ward weighed in some of his 168's fights.
He might have been 174 tho, but still he had a big size advantage.
The moment that each guy walked into the ring, no matter how folks want to cut it, Golovkin may have given up 3lbs.Comment

Golovkin-Jacobs was a 7-5/6-6 fight (with some folks seeing Jacobs just edge the fight), and Golovkin fans kept viewing Jacobs as a bigger and bigger man, to try and explain the performance. Can someone give me some backstory on what this thread is even about? I can't remember any controversy about weight the night of the fight, just remember thinking Jacobs looked like the bigger dude.
Also Jacobs fought a great competitive fight and his performance made me think better of him, dunno why anyone would need to hunt for excuses to explain his success.
Similar to the fallout from the first McGregor-Diaz fight; Diaz went from a 155lb fighter taking a fight on 20-day's notice, to a 200lb man who simply absorbed a beating and overwhelmed with his size. (On it's face, a 45lb weight cut on less than two weeks notice is a preposterous idea)Comment

Golovkin didn't weigh-in in the arena either, so not sure what your beef is.He declined to weigh in on fight night and thus whatever he claims he was means nothing. He could have been 174, or he could have been 190. Just by the eye test, and the fact that he also declined the IBF weigh in, clearly means he was much heavier and didn't want his weight revealed.Comment
