Corrales had been beaten by May. So it is up for grabs whether or not he could do great things to be a-level after the KO and be an A level prime win for Mayweather. Nope, he got repeatedlt Koed and then clottey ended his careee. He is not A level! And Hatton the same!
Corrales beat Joel Casamayor and Jose Luis Castillo. Name one fighter Broner beat on that level. Get your box rec out since you don't actually follow the fighters career's. I'll wait.Last edited by joseph5620; 08-30-2017, 02:04 AM.

definition of A-level Fighter: A fighter with exceptional world elite-level skills that had done great things in his career, and can hang on with other A-level fighters with great resume or building a great resume.
Definition of "PRIME": Prime, a person at the height of his physical strength and capabilities.
So give me 1 Prime A-level fighter that Mayweather has fought in his ENTIRE career.
Moseley - Passed his prime
Pacquiao - Passed his prime
Corrales - Prime, but lost his big fights, got KO'ed by castillo and multiple times by other fighters, can't be classified as an A-level with those reasons alone
Castillo - Obvious B-level
Hatton - Lost all his big fights, and lost AT WELTERWEIGHT to Mayweather instead of his natural weightclass, got a gift also against Collazo, got KO'ed all too easily against an A-level fighter in PAcquiao not really having a good resume, B-level
Dela Hoya- Passed his Prime
Shamba Mitchell - LOL
Andre Berto - LOL
Carlos Baldomir - LOL
Victor Ortiz- Even more LOL
Robert Guerrero - Lost literally to a cab driver
Maidana - Never did anything great other than beating Broner
Marquez - Passed his prime, got pulled from lightweight also.
Miguel Cotto - Damaged Goods, beaten by Margarito and Pacquiao
So........is this the great resume that you all have been clamoring for? Not having fought a Prime A-level fighter in his entire career?
Or since Canelo and Ortiz were "green", he should've faced a bum to let them get better!? Lol
Floyd's resume is awesome. Faced all those bigazz young fighters, while he was old as dirt, coming off layoffs, and HUMILIATED them. Those dudes where too big to even be in the ring with Floyd.
I wouldnt change anything with Floyd's resume. Had he and Shane fought, in the late 90's or early 2000's, who would he have fought, after the Pac negotiations fell through!? Berto wasnt ready yet. But when he had his shot, he lost to Ortiz, and Floyd fought him instead!

It depends on what you consider an A Level fighter.
Is a P4P Top 10 fighter an A Level fighter? I'd say so.
Floyd's beaten 7 and a few of them were in their prime.

manny lost to morrales then morrales got beat, then manny fought morrales again and won.
but the dude who beat morrales first was nothing special.
marquez won most of his fights against manny, and some of mannys wins were against guys floyd beat first.
and canelo was a 2x undefeated world champion with 43 pro fights before floyd beat him,
and floyd is the only person to beat him.
