Floyd is top 5 for me. All the criticism you can make about Floyd's resume, you can pick apart any ATG's resume in similar fashion if you have that agenda.

Not really a big Floyd fan but he's in the conversation as one of the very best. He's definitely the best of his era by some distance and that's really all you can be anyway.

This is so accurate. Every resume can be picked apart if you hold it up to the same scrutiny that people hold Floyd's too.

Floyd dominated boxing for two decades, few in history can say that.

almost all the all time greats have a least a couple great wins over prime greats....ali has liston, foreman etc...leonard has hearns, duran, etc...robinson has a bunch, floyd has....? i think its a pretty big oversight to put him in the same category as those guys.

how can yo be the best of your era when you never fouht the guys of your era until they were well past it? doesnt really seem fair....if spence were to beat floyd and pac right now does that make him the best of the era simply cause he won or is there more to it than that? you gotta fight when it matters. there is nitpicking and then there is waiting 5 years to fight guys that were recently ko'd. come on now.

duran is top 20 for me..his lack of success outside of 135 doesn't justify a top ten ranking. he never successfully defended any title he won outside of 135. the greats win titles and defend them.

                      top 20:

                      11. jersey joe walcott
                      12. charlie burley
                      13. pernell whitaker
                      14. bernard hopkins
                      15. jack johnson
                      16. aaron pryor
                      17. thomas hearns
                      18. Lennox Lewis
                      19. Evander Holyfield
                      20. Roberto Duran
