Top 15-20 with a comfortable lead over Pacquiao who will never catch him.

Top 10 - 15. Not the greatest unless you happen to be a TMT fan boy who started watching boxing in 2007

To his credit he beat every name fighter in his era.
People forget the past. Leonard had a managed career his second half too and he got several fighters when they were out of their prime too. He also took some losses.

        I'd go:
        1. SRR
        1a. Floyd
        3. Ali
        4. Duran
        5. SRL

But you can arrange that too 5 anyway you want and make a good case for it. At this point, leaving Floyd out of the top 5 smells of bias. And anything outside the top 10 is pure lunacy.

50-0, fought 25 champs in 5 weight classes. Probably has 10 hall of gamers on his record. That speaks for itself.

Good fighter but not elite IMO.

But Floyd beat them all and I actually think think his fights vs. Castillo are underrated. Castillo was a hell of a fighter at the time. Those fights were tougher fights almost all the fights where Floyd got more resume cred.

I'd never say in a thousand years he had a better resume than SRL. He literally fight there of the all time best in the sport at times when they were in their prime or just off it (Haglar). Floyd never did that.

I have no problem with someone putting Mayweather in the top 10 P4P but I'd have to really think about it. He isn't the best boxer in my life time, that distinction still goes to RJJ.
His wins against Castillo are the best of his career. Young and his first at lightweight and taking on a machine in his prime.

Corrales - this might be his best W. Not many outside boxing will realize this. Now I think Corrales probably was better after his stint in the joint but he was very good. Maybe he was a bit off the night he faced Mayweather because his life was a mess. He was heading to jail. He also struggled massively to make weight, he should never have agreed to fight at 130lbs. These are the kind of things people don't remember.

Castillo - was a top notch fighter and underrated nowadays. Easily could have won the first fight. To Floyd's credit they did again and Floyd won. I remember thinking Castillo won fight one but Floyd won two and showed to me he was the better fighter.

Hatton - I hated watching Hatton fight, just ugly. He was a good fighter but he got truly exposed against the best fighters. He also jumped up 7 lbs to fight Mayweather the only time he fought at that weight I believe. Not saying it mattered but just noting it.

Marquez was already past his prime. He also had no business fighting at that weight but money talks. One of my favorite fighters of all time. The stuff below is just what always kind of leaves a little bad taste in your mouth with Mayweather. I don't hate the guy but he definitely knew how to game the system and make himself lots of money and enhanced his resume IMO.

              Read this from Wikipedia:
Because Marquez had never before fought above 135 lbs and had fought at 130 lbs as recently as March 2008, while Mayweather had campaigned at 147 lbs since 2005, the fight was scheduled to take place at a catchweight of 144 lbs[3] to account for the size disparity between the two fighters. The fight was originally scheduled for July 18, 2009 at the MGM Grand arena but was postponed due to a rib injury sustained by Mayweather. The bout was rescheduled for September 19, 2009.[7] During the official weigh in for their 144 lb bout, Marquez weighed in at 142 lbs and Mayweather weighed in at 146 lbs thereby incurring a financial penalty ($300,000 for each pound over 144 lbs[5]) as he was 2 pounds over the catchweight.[8] It was later revealed that the contract was changed a few days prior to the weigh in so that Mayweather would be allowed to weigh up to the welterweight limit of 147 lbs while avoiding paying an additional fine to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, in addition to the fine he agreed to pay to Marquez.[5]

I've got to put Floyd top 10 personally.

It's legitimately difficult to think of 10 guys who are undeniably better than Floyd as far as P4P.

Hatton actually won the WBA Welterweight title in 2006 but moved back down.
