Original thread above. BTW I originally thought this fight was a farce, amazed Connor was 3-1 under dog, and Mayweather was 4-1 FAV, I was disapointed Connor even took on such a ridiculous challenge, even with the money involved....How wrong i was...

The boxing community are in denial. I did the original thread to see the hilarious excuses why a 0 and 0 fighter, who didnt even have boxing trainers, let alone boxing sparring, was able to school, outland and hurt Mayweather(Byrd saved Mayweather in round 9).

Im a big fan of MMA and boxing. Slight edge to boxing on what i am a bigger fan off. And originally thought this fight was a joke. But boxing lost despite the win, and boxing fans are rallying around to defend the indefensible in over hysterical ways which is a clear sign of Denial of what just happened. What 40 year old Randy couture did to James Toney is what i expected the self prclaimed "best ever" to do to Connor. Play with him, bust him up, knock him down multiple times and brutally KO Connor. I expected Connor to hit air ALL night whilst the the ELITE boxer landed everything. I was amazed that Connor would even get through 6 rounds.

Not just my score card, many experts from Showtime, HBO BBC five live and Espn had Connor winning going into his gassed out round.

Lets debunk each of the claims from so called Boxing fans over Mayweather Horrific display.

1) Urban Myth one-Mayweather walked him down....Did he Bollox. Mayweather was lost in there. Connor was out jabbing, out slicking Mayweather. Mayweather lost the first 4 rounds because Connor was changing the angles landing. Mayweather tried to throw in round one, missed and got caught with an upper cut. He turned his back 13 times, illegally imo. Dirrell did the same when fighting. Mayweather looked terrible and was being out boxed, he resorted to hoping Connors poor cardio would kick in..Floyd said the best chin is the chin that does not get hit, well he was getting hit alot!!!

Urban Myth 2"He 40 years old and 2 years inactive". Rubbish excuse for why he got outboxed. Vlsdimir at 41 fought an even yuonger Prime ELITE heavy weight boxer and took him to hell and back. Vlad was very inactive, and had not fought in almost 2 years. But even if you take the excuse at face value, so what. Connors been inactive in boxing ever since he entered Combat sports. Hes never fought professionally...EVER, Zip Zero. Did not even bother having boxing trainers or coaches, just stuck to MMA spars. This is like Roger Federer losing sets/Games of a Squash player who trained for 12 weeks at Tennis. It would be a disgrace.

All i can say is thank goodness Connor has Conditioning issues which effects him in both MMA and boxing(see Nate Diaz fights) because with Zero experience he out boxed Floyd Mayweather and at worst was drawing going into the 10th and at best was going to stop Mayweather in the 9th had it not been for "low blow gate"...

When the dust settles, Connor should be getting hall of fame status on what he achieved with Zero experience....

Comparing McTapper's attempt at boxing to Toney's attempt at MMA is just ******, tbh.

McTapper is a prime, reigning 2 division UFC champion and P4P No1 MMA fighter who had a huge size advantage over a 2 years retired ex boxer.
