I find it amazing how some people are making it seem as if Corrales is to blame for the fight not being on.

Cooper had Ali knocked silly by a left hook against the ropes. the bell rang, and Ali was by all rights out on his feet. Angelo Dundee supposedly cut his glove to buy Ali more time. However, I heard they still got Ali up and fighting before the minute time period between rounds expired. not for sure though.

This is actually a myth, perpetuated by Cooper himself and, bizarrely, Dundee, who's clearly going senile.

If you watch the tape there is NO "going back to get another pair of gloves" and the next round continues with just a delay of three seconds.

I find it funny how Corrales once again has to be the only fighter with any class between the two of them as HE volunteered to come on Showtime and do interviews and apologize on Castillo's ***** ass behalf. You could tell Corrales didn't want to be there and was uncomfortable, but at least he showed up to give the fans something.

It was only fair to give Popo a rematch, the fight was was close on points even when Corrales knocked him down in the 8th and 9th.. Corrales gave Castillo a rematch but people dont say anything about that, its because Castillo knocked him down twice and Corrales came to win, because the fight could have gone either way people wanted to see a rematch, same goes for the Freitas fight, one judge had him ahead in points while the other judges had him 1 or 2 points below corrales.
