McGregor's size and reach bothered Mayweather. His timing was off because of McGregor's crazy stance and he kept switching. He also countered well.

McGregor needed to make a statement in the first 2 or 3 rounds. He had to land something meaningful and he didn't. Although he had success it wasn't effective because Mayweather decided his punches didn't hurt and he could walk him down. If McGregor had knocked Mayweather down or staggered him it would be news but considering the end result this is a non issue.

I think Floyd just did what he's always done. He spends two or three rounds figuring you out & then he implements the strategic moves to beat you. Plenty of guys have won early rounds vs Floyd. Its not really that odd of a thing.

I also think people are underrating what Conor is capable of + him being the bigger guy & Floyd being a safety first guy & this fight is a big fat moral L for Floyd if Conor has any highlights vs Floyd & arguable he did that with that uppercut despite getting stopped.

Floyd is old, Floyd doesn't start fast, Conor had the threat of that lefty bomb, and Conor used his reach/awkwardness to muddle up the distance. Not too complicated.

Put him in with Errol Spence Jr and you likely see Conor get beat into submission sooner.

Floyd threw 6 punches total in round 1, clearly he was letting Mcgregor win rounds early for entertainment purposes and to let him tire himself out.

Then Floyd beat Mcnugget's ass, walked him down, and made him quit.

          It's pretty simple
Easy there, you are making way to much sense for these McTired fans!

The fight was never even close. Conor got schooled.

This is it exactly. Even during the first round I started laughing because it was apparent Floyd wasn't throwing or trying to counter McGregor at all. He knew the dude was wide open and once his offense got going Conor had no answer for it besides running away and grabbing Floyd.

Or hell, imagine him in there with 2017 Manny Pacquiao. Would be over a lot earlier than the 10th round.

There's no excuses. Floyd fought at a distance comparable to MMA, so Conor was comfortable and was able to land a few shots on Floyd because of how aggressive Floyd was and because of Conor's timing and reach. As soon as Floyd began timing him and moved in closer, Conor didn't know what to do because 1. He doesn't have many layers to his boxing game, and 2. He's not used to fighting at that close of a distance.

2017 Manny Pacquiao just fought Jeff Horn (not going to call him a novice, but he'd fought almost no one of note) and got beat.

Manny Pacquiao would've messed around and gotten knocked out

I had Manny winning the Horn fight but yeah didn't think he looked particularly good. Conor also has a lot of size on him.

Still, I think even Old Man Pacquiao would have enough tricks to get in on Conor, would land punches basically at will, and would avoid most of Conor's counters too (McGregor is no Marquez).
