maybe mcgregor should have just danced around and not throw any punches until say the 5th round like floyd?

he wouldn't have gassed and it would be the same fight...

i would have liked to see floyd walk mcgregor down while he was still fresh....

seems like a ***** made tactic...

        Round 3: 12 punches thrown

        Round 4: 31 punches thrown
        Round 5: 26 punches thrown
        Round 6: 37 punches thrown
        Round 7: 54 punches thrown
        Round 8: 48 punches thrown
        Round 9: 68 punches thrown

6 punches total thrown in the first round? Come on man he wasn't trying to win that round at all.
It's pretty damn clear Floyd wasn't trying to fight in those first 3 rounds.

For entertainment's sake, Floyd just came out of retirement and McGregor was hard to time. A mix of those things.

Yes, he was not doing anything because of mcgregors style and countering. He was abit shocked...

I love boxing, but that made boxing look horrible and overrated.

It made boxing look as if it didn't have the best athletes in the world..which it doesn't.

Why would he have to use a strategy like that against a guy who is 0-0?

Seems like a strategy you would use against a guy like GGG

Conor won the first round because floyd wanted to find his timing he's been off for 2 years. Then floyd won rounds 2-10 really easily

Floyd was rusty in the 1st 2 rounds, it may have been his game plan to let Conor tire by throwing hard shots early, but he also just wasn't getting off. Doubt if it was his plan to only throw 6 punches in round 1. He had a plan to figure McGregor out in the first few rounds and he did. I guarantee Floyd saw Conor start to tire as early as round 2. And he also felt that he had no snap on his punches and knew he was out of danger. Mayweather started walking McGregor down in round 3, he was feeling him weaken, he knew when he was ready to go and he decided to get him out of there in round 9 after the low blow, it just took another minute of round 10 to finish him.

Floyd decided when to end the fight.

Most experts didn't think Mcgregor would land a single punch...

He did more than exceed expectations
