Is Canelo vs GGG going to flop?

Absolutely. I've been saying that for years, charge like $29.99 for SD and $39.99 for HD and you'd get a hell of a lot more buys than trying to charge $79.99. That greed is a hard thing to overcome though.Well possibly, too many illegal streaming going on. If these promoters and broadcasters would wise up and lower the damn price, numbers would be up big time. Why are they still charging $65-$70 for HD ???/ SMDH. They should take a page from Eddie Hearns and keep it at or around $40 (Eddie keeps it 29.95 I think.) Or better yet, what about an app that u can pay say $15 per bout and u can watch it on ur android or apple device, no contract with a cable subscriber needed?Comment

no way this is going to flop. the world has been wanting this fight for awhile you have a mexican superstar in one corner a big punching undefeated monster in the other. this does at least 1 million.Comment

Yup, I agree. I also agree that people will always stream illegally if they can but thats also because of years of trauma by those high a$$ prices, put it down and people will come back to buying PPV like in England. Imagine, 30 bucks is like 3 meals at Mcdonalds or 6 "Tall" coffees at Starbucks.Comment

basics. Canelo/GGG is a fight I'm buying...and I probably won't have a partyNo, it won't flop. It attracts a totally different fan base. The fans who would purchase May/Mac are not the same fans that will purchase Canelo/GGG. A large majority were likely MMA fans. I think Canelo/GGG comes close to about 1.5M buys, a very respectable number.
