The Mayweather vs Conor fight just ended. Within a few days the talk about it will slow down and boxing fans will turn their attention to Canelo vs GGG; I think it's too good of potential fight and too important a fight between well known stars to flop. There is nothing Oscar can do now. Either fans buy the fight or they don't.

Cong****, this is the best post I've ever seen from you and I agree. I also think the numbers will be dismal but **** it, we're gonna see the obvious #1 and #2 middleweights fight (BJS ain't shyte) and that a good thing and should be a good fight.

Oddly I tend to agree after initially thinking the Conor vs Floyd fight would hurt sales.

I think the overall positive opinion of this fight Saturday by viewers will have a positive outcome for Canelo vs GGG. I also think the TR deal with ESPN is helping getting boxing in the mouths of potential buyers of this PPV. I didn't expect this Saturday to be as fun as it was. Fun fights = good for everyone.

I think Oscar should've piggy backed on this event instead of hating. The biggest fight of the year & you don't take advantage? If Oscar showed up he'd be interviewed by everyone. He should've been on sportscenter giving his opinion on the fight & using the opportunity to promote Canelo-GGG. You won't be successful in business by holding grudges.

The majority of the 5M+ people who probably bought this PPV don't watch boxing or MMA. Sure this was probably the most MMA fans who've bought a boxing PPV in ever, but this fight is huge cuz it went beyond boxing AND mixed martial arts to the sports fans & even non-sports fans. This sh^t was like the Super Bowl of boxing with all the non-combat sports people watching like so many non-football fans watch the Super Bowl.

Just wait and see when the fight is just a week away.
Especially when they're entering the Las Vegas boxing site.
If anything, the circus fight made it even more attractive to buy.
Fans are hungry for real fights. This is the fight of the decade.
You'd be surprised it will surpass all expectations.
GBP chief Oscar Dela Hoya will have the last laugh.

Espn helped him because they have a partnership with hbo. I think they realized odh wasn't looking at the big picture when he went in his rants. He just hates Floyd so much he couldn't help himself. Probably how he acts around coke and lingerie.

I also think espn really wants to make sure a non haymon guy is the face of the sport since they have deals with gbp and tr.

Well if you compare it to what May-Mcg does then yeah it's a flop but I can't see it doing less than like 1.2 million if Canelo Chavez did 1 million.

None of the UFC goofs are buying it though
