Actually Conor started as a boxer , the current HW champion was a golden gloves winner and came in as a boxer and he KO everyone with his hands inside 1 round which is funny as hell

"Started as a boxer".. Conor had maybe 2-3 years of amateur boxing from the ages of 12-15 and that makes him a boxer?? Conor was kicked out of the boxing gym because he started training Karate and MMA with John Kavanag. He has a diverse striking backround.. He is not a boxer!

Stipe Miocic was a wrestler growing up! He took up boxing later, he never won a state golden gloves title. He won a local golden gloves event, massive difference! Just because someone in the UFC wins fights by KO with their hands does not make them boxers by trade

Look you can find a lot of guys with slight amateur backrounds! Most MMA guys cross train that doesn't mean that their background is Boxing.

Cody is a bit different. I have no problem if people see him as a boxer, but in reality he has stated many times that his main focus growing up was wrestling and football. His uncle was a professional boxer and got him into boxing later on because he was too small to be a top footballer. (The guy is 5'6 and walks around about 150 now) But he was still relatively young when he took up boxing so if you want to call him a boxer fine
