    Lennox Lewis:
"It shows that boxing is a superior sport. In the ring, you can't beat a boxer, it's not as easy as everybody thought it would be, just because McGregor is a fighter. This is fighting where you can only use your hands."
    Slow down there, boy-oh.

What this shows is that a 49-0 Boxer is superior to an 0-0 Boxer from MMA.

And who the **** thought it would be "easy"?!? All of the textbook fight-hype and bluster aside, no one actually believed it would be easy.

Lots of MMA fans are Boxing fans too.

But what do you care if a Boxing fan is an MMA fan too?

McGregor was an MMA fighter making his boxing debut. He did it purely for the money, but you try to make it more than that, trying to turn it into some deeply personal tribal war. The fact you even needed to say "we actually don't take it personal" is an admittance you do. LOL

        No they didn't.

Yes, loads of people bet millions of dollars... which means that the average bet on McGregor was probably just $10. Please stop going full ******.

Look at how worked up you are over it all. It's hilarious. Black people need to stop taking sport so seriously and maybe invest some energy into education.
I'm not at all worked up! I didn't even pay for the fight! Tribal war? Nonsense! The Great White Hype strategy has a history in boxing! You seem to be totally ignorant of this, so it's on you to educate yourself. Start with Jack Johnson, then Holmes vs. Cooney. Maybe then you'll see the historical context of what made Mayweather vs. McGregor one the biggest events in the history of combat sports!

It's ok to be a fan of the both, loving and enjoying. But is it normal for some people to disrespect and belittle boxing and still have accounts with some 9 thousand posts in this forum?

              I enjoy the synergy.

MMA has close ties with Jiu Jitsu, with Wrestling, with Kickboxing/Muay Thai to a less degree.

But not so much with Boxing.

Boxing has been the big boy on the block for generations (among combat sports) and can be a bit elitist; and with MMA coming up, a bit defensive.

This event just brings things that much close between the two. It elevates combat sports.

Whether Conor lost in round 1, 10, or 12, he had no chance whatsoever. Boxing wins no matter what you think, its just how it is in this life time. Maybe the next life, MMA will be superior but not this one, sorry kiddo
No man that's just some stuff people repeat on the internet. There's nothing more scientific about boxing than MMA. It has viewer variables, a smaller skillset.

I watch boxing and kickboxing because it's more aesthetically pleasing but MMA takes more intelligence and roundedness. I don't have to watch it and neither do you but this whole argument is silly.

Your boy GGG is fighting soon. Any prediction on what round he's gonna KO Canelo? Don't see many GGG threads from you (or others) these days. You OK, bro?
