And then he fights a MEAN, hungry fighter in their prime and gets starched by Charlo, GGG, Canelo, Cotto, etc..someone who will throw more than 4 punches in one round and is not hanging back taking it easy. He got stopped by a 149 pound Floyd who's 40 years old...2 years from retirement. He's too muscular for boxing and unless he changed his body composition he'll have stamina issues no matter what he does. He has over 20 fights as a fighter and at some point we cant make excuses. Some guys just have that Margarito gas tank or from his end, Nate Diaz or Bisping..and some guys just have that Yoel Romero gas tank. Not even 2 years would let him compete with boxers IN boxing. It's not that he lacks talent it's muscle memory. There was a point in the fight where he went halfway for a takedown after he got hurt. Looked like he was about to shoot for a double. He cant get the leverage he wants while moving the way he wants because his body was built up over all these years to move a different way and react a completely different way.

Conor is too dynamic in MMA to be effective in boxing and when it's all said and done that's the problem...he was just completely ineffective. Last night was a guy taking it easy in a spar until he decided it was a fight and wanted to go home already and ended it.

If he'd have done this as a boy and only this maybe it's different. He's a badass in his sport with tremendous focus and ethic. Still, there are levels to talent and even in his own sport he isnt the talent Lara or Floyd are in theirs.

Floyd carried him and showed him respect by not making it a washout. Floyd may be a sh it head but he showed Conor respect for stepping into the ring and let the fight go a bit.

Lets take a moment though to realize how bad Paulie is at this stage lol. Sure, Conor is a LOT bigger but come on. Lmao

You are always going to gas trying to muscle someone around with your arms for 12 rd's. Same thing happened to brook vs spence.

Now imagine Conor facing a real 154 or someone like Canelo, what happens? lights out is what happens

Conor needs to go back to MMA

He dominated the first half of the fight against the best boxer this generation has seen with only 6 weeks of boxing training.

McGregor with an improved gas tank could very well beat the winner of GGG/Canelo.

Dominated? You new to the sport? Floyd let McG punch himself out, Conor was never in control.

Conor would need to back in time, start boxing from an early age, learn how to actually throw punches properly, learn everything from the ground up and maybe he migjt win a british title.

                  Hahahahahahahahahaha

                  You're a comedian.

Canelo or GGG stop him in maximum 2 rounds.

No man. He doesn't know how to punch. He 'casts' on almost every punch. It takes 3 years minimum from nothing to get good on an amateur level. Conor has to unlearn everything which will take years. If he fights a Canelo or GGG he'll get Magomeved veggie status. You don't PLAY boxing.

Conor himself has said he was training before the fight was official

                      He was never dominating

GGG/Canelo don't throw 6 punches in the first round (well maybe they do but that would be because one of those 6 flattens McGregor)
