If he really retires, I'll miss the "pow" sound of his punches.

Still Kovalev made a decent career which nobody expected it from him. He wasn't a top amateur but as a pro one of the best P4P fighters in the past 5 years.

He should rest up, then continue his career.

Kovalev will continue, probably box again early 2018. He has a lot of talent, and has not taken a great deal of punishment over his career thus far. Personally, I want him to smash Stevenson.

He DOES need to figure out how to protect his body, both in preparation for, and during the fight. Ward set the blueprint for how to beat him, and other fighters will go right after him in the same manner.

I have watched Kovalev v. Ward II maybe 6-8 times. The reaction that Kovalev had to "belt line shots", even early in the fight, suggests to me that his jock may have not been set right, and he may have been getting er..."pinched". Either that, or he was "playing up" the impact of the belt line shots as he was already feeling the accumulative effect.

But Ward was sooooo scared of Kov (1 year ago), He was supposed to fake an injury so he wouldnt have to face Killer Krusher Kov
