Ellerbe has Floyd so deep in his throat that it's a wonder he's able to speak at all.

Boxing as a sport wasn't doing fine without him. We had some great fights this year but no one cared but boxing fans. Mayweather is putting on a spectacle of a fight and the whole world is talking about it. This fight has been the most dominating sports news this summer. Showtime was so coercive in making him fight Pacquiao that they gave him all that money to do it. Way to force someone to do something.lol.. sure bob! Boxing was doing just fine without him! Mayweahter didn't carry crap, all he did is keep audiences intrigued if he'll ever fight the midget philippino.. and then he was cornered by showtime, because his "record breaking" numbers vs guerrero, maidana (2 times) were crap to justify his paycheck.. Good thing he had the other insult in Canelo to bail him out..
maximize your earnings? I agree with that.. but in a sport where the people pay for your paycheck? Don't go around giving interviews saying "we're not here to give the people what they want, we're here to make smart business decisions"...
Then retire, just to come back and fight someone who HAS NEVER boxed in his life and reward him with a ton of money, for what? He's trying to leach off of idiot MMA fans who are all thinking Conny has a chance.
I'm saving my $ for Canela/GGG
I'm watching this fight, the Canelo/Golovkin fight, and whatever fight they have coming after that.Comment

Whatever you say man.. seems like you're an expert that knows the ins and outs of boxing as a whole.. glad you've achieved so much knowledge to know that 1 fight coming out of retirement vs a NON experience boxer for more money that anyone could dream is what you call brining boxing back.. Especially when your idol has already claimed he's retiring again... until he's hit with another case, tax issue or whatever his next excuse to come back and fight Lebron James.Boxing as a sport wasn't doing fine without him. You don't know need to be an expert to know which fighter is generating interest in the sport. All you have to do is get on any news/sport website you can get to on with whatever device you used to make this post. Which boxer are they talking about? While you're there check to see if there's a link for "boxing." Chances are it's nowhere on the front page. It's probably under "other" sports right next to golf or tennis. When he retires again, boxing will back on the back burner again but for now it's being talked about because of him. You don't have to be his fan to acknowledge that. Unless, you're pretending this isn't it happening and I'm using my "expertise" to figure this out.Whatever you say man.. seems like you're an expert that knows the ins and outs of boxing as a whole.. glad you've achieved so much knowledge to know that 1 fight coming out of retirement vs a NON experience boxer for more money that anyone could dream is what you call brining boxing back.. Ellerbe's not wrong.
My colleague at work - female - actually asked me who was going to win Mayweather/McGregor. This is a girl who knows NOTHING about boxing or MMA. Nothing.
Her old supervisor who retired is an MMA fan and I used to shoot it with him, now there's nobody left into contact sports like I am. Hearing her ask the question shocked me.Comment
