I want to see him pitted with the likes of Thurman, Porter, Peterson.
Do you devalue Craw's accomplishment because of weak opposition?

"Do you devalue Craw's accomplishment because of weak opposition?"
No, he deserved everything he gotten including being call "Undisputed champ at 140" but here the thing, he going to have a hard time fighting those boys at 147.
Everybody is already saying that Crawford would beat everyone at 147.
Let make 1 thing clear - Spence, Thurman, Brook, Garcia, Porter, Pacquiao, Vargas, Peterson, Ponomarev, and Ali are all better than Crawford best opponent and are operating at the highest level at 147.
He's not going to just walk in at 147 and steamroll these guys. He may beat some of them but I can't see him beating them all.Comment

Remember this when ggg's resume is questioned Or criticized.its a poor resume. thing is if you put someone like danny garcia against crawfords opposition he would be undefeated.lets see how crawford does against spence and thurman. maybe he will win, maybe he wont, but thats the only way to se how good he is. hes looked impressive but its not hard to look good against the fighters hes been fighting.Comment

Do you devalue Joe Louis' accomplishments for the same reasons? Truth of the matter is even in weak eras fighters tend to drop the ball for an awkward opponent, an unprofessional preparation for the match, arrogant approach, whatever. Crawford hasn't and he's making the matches and getting the achievements. Of course he's not fighting Aaron Pryor and Hank Armstrong but he's getting it done in style in his own time and that's that. He's just fought the top two guys in his division and and handed them both their ass. Whether they'd have been the top two in some other better era regardless.Comment

I won't devalue his accomplishment. It is up to the people to look at the context of this accomplishment.
It wasn't done in a great division. That's the truth whether people like it or not. 140 is one of the weaker division in all of boxing. Not Terence's fault. If it was done in a tougher/better weight class it would be more impressive, but again Crawford doesn't control who is in his division. He just has to fight the top fighters and he has done that.
We also have to wait and see at what Postol and Indongo (Crawford's best wins at 140) do post Crawford. They could turn out to be better wins than we thought.
The thing I don't like is that other fighters get trashed for their resumes but Crawford gets a pass most of the time. Just be fair, I say.Comment

I think everyone will ultimately by judged on their resumes.
Multi-weight champions, unified champions, how may current or former champs you have beaten. Lineal even. It will always come down to who you beat and how relevant they were at the time. So, people will always strip stuff down.
Crawford's resume isn't that great but he's beaten some good fighters. 3 of his last 4 opponents are good fighters IMO, and are his best wins.
What he's achieved is a nice coup. It's hard to capture all the titles, be it about mandatories, TV station/promotional conflicts.
So, i'm glad to see it done, i like seeing guys try to unify.
If GGG beats Canelo, twice if need be, i'd like to seem try him add the WBO before he calls it a day.
I've always been a Crawford fan, he's a top bracket fighter and he's beaten everyone he possibly could in the 2 divisions he's fought in. Walked through them in fact. He's done all he could.
I'm excited about seeing him at 147 if that's his next step. I just hope the fights can be made, due to the promotional sides etc.
He's good enough to beat guys at WW, and there's some nice looking fights to be made there.Comment
