You don't find it odd that at first it was the Wlad rematch and then Pulev, and now it's Pulev and Ortiz? And you're saying that what the fighter Ortiz is saying is baseless? You can't be serious. You can smooth over what you're saying above to armchairs but not diehards like me and definitely not the fighters. Logic isn't the truth. Ortiz wasn't even on their radar. But that's how you milk trinkets. Now you care about titles. Next week you won't.

There's nothing odd about it... that order is how it has always been. Klitschko rematch, Pulev mandatory, Ortiz mandatory, Wilder. That's what Hearn and Joshua have been saying for months. Everyone and their mum know that Joshua has 2 mandatories to deal with and the only way that changes is if Haymon can use his influence with Ortiz to make him step aside to allow the Wilder fight first. You don't find it odd that at first it was the Wlad rematch and then Pulev, and now it's Pulev and Ortiz? As for Ortiz's statement: it is totally baseless... he can't say that Joshua has no pride and won't face him when Joshua himself has said he will face him once he's faced Pulev. Simple logic.
An you're talking as if you're talking for the fighters? Again, BOTH Joshua and Wilder have talked about wanting to be the unified world heavyweight champion and both get a lot closer to their goal if they wait until after they've got their mandatories out of the way. To refute that you are totally ignoring statements from the 2 fighters involved so no you definitely are not talking for the fighters... you're talking for your own personal agenda.
Finally: you're claiming that the WBA mandatory wasn't even on the agenda of the WBA super champion? Okay then...Last edited by Deus; 08-19-2017, 07:30 AM.Comment

You haven't said anything new. You did add a lie that though. The order wasn't Wlad, Pulev, Ortiz and Wilder lmao. You guys said the summer of 2018 lmao. Build the fight. Don't worry, boxing always clowns cherry pickers and Joshua's stiff ass won't be any different. There's nothing odd about it... that order is how it has always been. Ortiz hasn't looked that great lately, but he has won. On the other hand Stiverne and Pulev don't look threatening at all1 I want Miller to beat Ortiz and jump into the title mix ASAP! If Ortiz beats Miller, then he definitely deserves a shot at Joshua or Wilder next!I'm interested in Miller too - I was impressed with his sheer physicality, toughness, and gas tank in his fight against Washington. I hope he fights some of our heavyweights I think he beats them, and I will reserve judgement on his further fights regarding whether he could beat Joshua. But stylistically he looks a nightmare for anyone .
What heavyweight is going to enjoy fighting an enormous pressure fighter with gas tank like he appears to have? The answer is none. Joshua would have to punch holes in that guy.
That said, I can't buy into the excitement for Ortiz. I've not seen that Jennings win. Is that why people are so high on him?
Most of us Brits have seen Ortiz look dead average twice, but not only that and I know its only aesthetics but that chap looks about 50 years old. From what I've seen I'd legit throw Dereck Chisora in there with him never mind Joshua.Comment

The WBA stipulated that if it was going to put their belt on the line the winner had to fight Ortiz next...Hearn and AJ knew that and are now using the Pulev excuse to duck Ortiz even if it means being stripped of the WBA belt which Joshua had to go life and death to win.....Says it all really.Comment

Joshua has said it's gonna be Pulev (IBF mandatory) then Ortiz (WBA mandatory) then unification with Wilder; nothing wrong with that agenda imo.
What remains to be seen is if he actually follows through on his words with actions.Comment

Well, although I see your point, Joshua also has an IBF mandated fight to honour and he has to fight one of them first! If he fights Ortiz he loses IBF title and visa versa so, to be fair, it's a bit of a no-win for him in reality. The WBA stipulated that if it was going to put their belt on the line the winner had to fight Ortiz next...Hearn and AJ knew that and are now using the Pulev excuse to duck Ortiz even if it means being stripped of the WBA belt which Joshua had to go life and death to win.....Says it all really.
One ior the other body could easily allow the others manadatory with a written obligation from Joshua to fight theirs next instead of splitting the title again.Comment

I'd rather see Ortiz fight someone before Joshua anyway. These guys always think they're ready, but Luis hasn't fought in a while, and hasn't fought someone with a pulse in even longer. He needs to prepare for a showdown with the champ.Comment

What about Ortiz moving aside for Wlad to step in on the condition he's next in line for an AJ fight...hmm?There's nothing odd about it... that order is how it has always been.
