Question. How does him getting caught using steroids vs de la Hoya (and presumably other fighters) affect his legacy? I say it almost kills it

Let's be real: if they caught all the fighters that use PED today, there would be no more Hall Of Fame in the next few years.

By now it reminds me of Ben Johnson vs Carl Lewis in 1988. One gets caught and he's the villain; the other doesn't, and he is the saint. Yet, both run 100 mt like dragsters... I think by now PED is a concrete reality in boxing, either one admits it or not.

Sad that he has to end his career in this way but good that he finally is done in this unforgiving sport.

The voters for the IBHOF pretty much already have their first round ballots filled out for 2022.

Side note: The author calling SSM one of the best lightweights in history is a tremendous reach.

If Pacquaio and Mayweather retire this year like they claim then the voters have their hands full.

Mayweather, Pacquaio, Marquez, Roy Jones, Klitschko, Cotto, Mosley all the same year.

Is it 5 years from when they retire or from when they last fought?

From that list Roy, May and Pac have to be the choices, but Klit, Marquez and Mosley are first ballot in any other year. Cotto a bit below the rest but will get in eventually

              Bradley borderline as well

I have no sympathy for drug cheats like Mosley.

He shouldn't even be in it or consider for it. He was one of those guys who smiles and then cheat using a designed drug.

I say sue him and use the same lawyer that your ex wife used to sure you. God knows she cleaned him out.

If he's smart. Which makes me doubt he'll retire. Might as well print up the Horn/Pacquiao 3 tickets
