Yeah I'm serious, because besides the intelligent individuals who don't agree with the fight, understand it's a ridiculous match up, there are others that don't feel that way, a large majority of the public actually believes Conor has a legitimate chance, I get what you are saying, but I've seen more on this site, other sites, and just random individuals who give Conor way more than a punchers chance against Floyd, and I'm sure Floyd understands this.

I'm a huge Floyd fan, don't agree with the fight, don't want it to count for #50.......but it's made and it's happening. And Yes, I'm serious about what I said because that's obviously the feeling I'm getting from Floyd and his Camp who initiated that request to begin with.

What about the difference between puncher's gloves and boxer's gloves though? Why would Floyd pay Maidana 1.5 mil not to wear Everlast MX? Because I definitely noticed Maidana's power diminish once he changed gloves to fight Floyd. And I saw real strange things happening with Robert Garcia fighters in those gloves. Mikey Garcia ****ing cut a guy's ear in half with punches wearing those gloves. He cut Zlatacinin's eye with one jab with those gloves and then KO'd him with basically one punch in those gloves. Meanwhile huge punchers like GGG and Kovalev wear grant or some other brand, and they hit their opponents hundreds of times, and their opponents almost never get cut. Ward did not get cut once in 20 rounds with Kovalev, for example. Jacobs eyes were closing from all the punches but not one cut.

So is there a big difference with Everlast MX, anyway? Or what is the difference really between boxers gloves and punchers gloves? Because all I know is I think I see a difference on TV, and Floyd could definitely tell the difference because he paid off Maidana not to use them.

Well for starters all gloves boxers gloves. Mx is just a different type just like in basketball you've got Jordan's nikes etc. Mexican style / punchers gloves are the same as any other gloves the only difference is the material used for padding and the distribution of the padding. Your hands are also more prone to injury .

It all comes down to preference not all heavy handed guys wear punchers gloves. Glove type doesn't affect punching power. If you have power it doesn't matter what you wear. You can make an argument that thicker padded gloves take some of the sting off your punches but nothing drastic.

Floyd's likes to take the least amount of damage possible. And takes any advantage he can get. The gloves maidana requested were approved but Floyd had the money to convince maidana to fight in the extra padded gloves. He couldn't force maidana to not wear legal approved gloves so they reached a deal amongst each other.

As far as cuts go, that depends on a number of variables but it has nothing to do with glove type.

I don't think I implied that Floyd cared about the sport of boxing, or for the fans in general. My point is, he requested 8oz to remove excuses from McGregor and his Camp and the MMA fans post fight. The backlash he received from Maidana, and the Pacquiao fight are probably the reasons, he doesn't want anyone to come out with any type of ridiculous excuse post fight, that's it. No one EVER said it was for the boxing public.

if kenny bayless was actually banned thats super shady. The boxers and their teams are not supposed to have a say in who officiates the match.

bayless bashed the fight a few months ago on elie seckbachs video... So thats why they removed him... He said this fight shouldnt happen... Refs have to stay neutral

46 out of 49 of Mayweather's fights have been in 8 oz gloves. He is a natural welterweight. This is not that big of a deal.

it is still unnecessary, just increases the chance of conor getting a KO. why take any risks, there is so much on the line for him, while conor who is 0-0 has nothing to lose.
