Point is Valdez > Pedraza no matter how you try to flip it. Valdez by far has the better skillset. This isnt dissing Tank because I like the guy, this is just muffing your point. Valdez beats all of PBC's 126lb guys with ease except Russel whom I think is 50/50 but if Russel dont stay active, Valdez has a 60/40 edge. Valdez I am sure will be ready for Russel by December.

Again, you call them midgets but they are still world champion level fighters who would clear out Valdez's resume!

Your calling them midgets only cuz Cruz is a very tall 126 guy!..

The fact of the matter is Mares and Frampton are much better quality opponents than what Valdez has faced, FACT!

Losing to Frampton isn't a shameful thing, he's a quality champion and got Leo to fight his fight but in the rematch we saw Leo show some dimensions to his game!..

Leo showed in the rematch that he can box, counter and fight behind a game plan instead of just grinding his opponents behind volume punches which is how he beat Frampton!

I agree that Valdez for the amount fights he has, his win in Marriage is better than the any win that Leo has with the same amount fights!

Your in a losing argument and would be wise to just say that well let's see how Valdez's career unfolds!
      sure bud, youre 'winning' lol.

You can keep saying frampton and mares till the cows come home, that won't change the fact they are midgets moving up in weight.

Thats the first sign of a protected fighter:

feeding on guys from lower weight classes

fighting old washed up midgets (kiko etc)

Fighting 30 + fights and not fighting a legit opponent that is in your weight class, Haymon does this with all his guys, just take a look at wilder.

Leo is a protected fighter, thats simply a fact.

You still have not answered my question:

If Valdez is such a protected fighter, Who should of Arum been putting Valdez in with at 17/18 fights?

Valdez is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Haymons no dummy, he knows Valdez is good so its not in his or his fighters best interest to take that L. If Valdez was an obvious hypejob, well then hed definitely match let Mares, Russel, & Santa Cruz fight him. At the same time though Arum wont let Valdez fight unless it makes financial sense for himself.

If arum was putting Valdez in with Gary russell jnr in his 17th fight then he would be a complete idiot.

Valdez is one of my favourite fighters but lets be honest hes no lomachenko with a million amateur fights, you cant put him in with those guys so early thats lunacy.

Fighting tough decent ex champs like gradovich before your 20th fight is perfect progression...

I seriously doubt Arum will make that fight. Or the fight against the winner of Mares-Santa Cruz.

Unless the alphabet groups force a mandatory on him Bob always prefers in-house fights or a matchup he can cherrypick.

What about Joseph Diaz? There is also Magadaleno moving up.

Mares is with Schaeffer I believe and he has always shown a willingness to match his guys tough. Leo is likely fighting the Frampton rematch next since the WBC ordered the Mares rematch.

PBC has a number of interesting fights at 126 they will make. I even think Nonito is now in the mix with them for name value.

Bob may end up using him to boost Loma's profile by matching them up.

Say what you want to about Gary Russell Jr. but none of these dudes at 126 mention his name at all. They don't want that work.
