A very controversial win over Kovalev in their first fight, and a cheap win over him in the second, full of low blows and cheap shots. Hardly a very compelling performance on both counts. Prior to Kovalev who did he beat in his three fights prior? Explain why he DOES belong at the top?

That tournament is ancient history. How long do you give a fighter credit for six year old wins? Can't ride that glory all way into 2017. Otherwise there are a lot of fighters ahead of him on the list. Besides, look how and who he won against. Froch was his best win, and an ugly one at that. He fouled the shyt out of Kessler with head butts and elbows.Comment

Don't you know?? Going 4 rounds with a GIMP who had the balance of a baby deer made him #1. *** a lot of ppl felt he lost to a MUCH older Trout.Comment

Yeah Canelo started out at 139 lbs and is now fighting at MW. He's also not even 5' 8". Hes a hair under...He doesn't have the ideal size for a lot of these MW's. Let alone higher weightsIt would be up for debate. But I think Ward still beats the winner out. Of course the winner could always go up to light heavy, beat Ward, and remove all doubt. Realistically, that would be more doable for GGG than Canelo. Canelo is only like 5'8/5'9 and already moving up to middleweight. GGG only gives up maybe an inch or so to Ward, and is a career middleweight. Ward spent most of his career at super middleweight. So there's not a huge size difference between the two.Last edited by Shadoww702; 08-15-2017, 02:04 PM.Comment
