Comments Thread For: Couture: McGregor, White Are Manipulating Malignaggi Situation!

MMA legend and former two weight UFC champion Randy Couture is questioning the intentions and motivation of Conor McGregor to retain Paulie Malignaggi as a sparring partner. Malignaggi, a former two division champion, was hired by McGregor to help the UFC star prepare for the upcoming showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

You can look at McGregor and tell he's lying about the whole situation. I honestly believe he is going to get hurt. That footage of sparring he was throwing girly slap punches.

For sure McGregor & Dana are on the same team here, but idk why people are acting like there is some need to release a whole sparring tape for a fight that hasn't taken place yet. Thats f#cking ******ed over a boxer & sparring partner beef.

People want to see the entire footage because it was obvious that short clip was cut and edited to give the (probably false) impression that Malignaggi was dominated by McGregor. It's not normal for a boxer to do this with sparring footage, trying to make his 'partner' look bad, and McGregor has a history of releasing edited footage of himself sparring against a boxer. MMA & WWE fans are happy to see a little fictional promotional montage, but boxing fans are not ******. ...at least MOST boxing fans aren't.

It's crazy how predictable this was. People were saying it was only a matter of time before they release small clips of McGregor looking good.

I believe the sparring was competitive, giving the edge to Conor because he's in shape and has more power but no point arguing since we don't have the entire sparring session.
