Lara is a skilled fighter, but as has been said previously...I don't forget that he went life and death with Angulo. I find Martorysian to be solid but pedestrian. Andrade can look fantastic and pedestrian...guess it really depends what Andrade shows up. I will say Andrade by UD in a lackluster affair.

I don't remember Lara been in a life and death fight as yet. I do remember a fight with perro in a phone booth, foam memory for a mat and a verbal clause, where he couldn't weight more than 10 pounds the night of the fight. But perro could weight as much as he wanted. He got caught twice and the only thing that did was get him mad. Both time he put a beating after the knock downs and make a proud mexican warrior quit. That is what I remember and I think you should watch it again, and while you're at it watch the williams fight too. By the way he made ginger look like an amateur.

I appreciate the recommendations, although I did watch both Lara fights against Canelo and Williams when they aired live. At the time, as I recall, I felt Erislandy won both on close cards. We can agree to disagree on how we saw the Angulo fight at the time of the stoppage. I have never been particularly impressed with Angulo and my opinion of Lara's subpar performance in that fight is something I take into consideration when I rate him...regardless of whatever other real or alleged obstacles Lara had to deal with.

It's looking like Andrade got tricked, bamboozled, conned. He was made to wait for this month to come expecting a negotiations with Lara would begin. All the while Lara's camp was talking to Gausha.

Or is this a case of Andrade's indifference, or too dumb to take this date seriously?

Why can't we have an extensive story about this? How about the abuse of power angle by this sanctioning body? Are they in collusion? Why can't we have an explanation about what this September date was all about?
