I don't know what Hatton has to do. He won 38 fights in a row against good opposition and more often than not thoroughly dominated his opponents, and then finally Tszyu steps up to the plate and Hatton manages to beat Tszyu at Tszyu's absolute peak - made the #1 lb4lb boxer in the world quit on his stool, having used the perfect tactics to not allow boxings most dangerous right hand to land properly. Then he goes and fights the most awkward-styled fighter I've seen (while his head was all over the place), finishing him with a beauty one-punch KO. Then he moves up in weight for the first time, for his first main event in the USA, against a southpaw (he'd always had problems with southpaws) who was much naturally bigger than him, and STILL ****ing wins! And yet STILL he's hated on?

I think boxing 'experts' in general are way too critical of fighters.

Not just Hatton, but everyone. They have their favourite fighters, and defend them, and everybody else gets trashed because their 'ducking' whoever.

Fact is, props to Hatton for taking on relatively tough competition. The fact that he took on Collazo proves he has balls - to go up to 147 and fight a well rounded fast slick southpaw? That takes balls. Now people are calling him a ***** for going back down. Why? He went up, doesn't feel comfortable, and thus went back down. Whats the issue?

It's also strange how people refuse to give credit to Hatton for beating Tszyu.

Tszyu didn't whine. Neither should you.

Hatton is a brawler who will only look good fighting his mirror image eg. Tszyu who is essentialy a one fisted fighter. Against any slick boxer / counterpuncher he will be exposed. I really dont see what the big hype on this guy is.

C'mon... you profess to have some knowlegde.
Before the fight, do you think Tszyu would say 'I was at my peak from 1998-2002'?
Of course a fighter is going to say how confident they are.

Hatton is the most UNDER-rated fighter in the world and always has been, my favourite Hatton moment was on the Tyson/Francis undercard when he threw a four-punch combination with his left hand in about one second! It was left hook to head x 2, left uppercut to jaw and left hook to body. That kind of skill blows you away.

And you'd have to be blind to suggest that Hatton looked ****ty against Pep (gave Mayweather a good workout), former world champion Pendleton, Tackie (beat Tackie even more impressively than Tszyu and Mitchell did) or Stewart (the guy behind Hatton and Mitchell for Tszyu's title).

Justin Rowsell was a good fighter, Tszyu's main sparring partner and after fighting Hatton he said that Hatton was the only fighter in the world who could beat Tszyu. Jeff Fenech once said Rowsell would "definately" beat Philip Holiday, before the draw with Santos messed things up. And Vince Phillips predicted after he fought Hatton that Hatton could beat Tszyu.

I'm a Tszyu fan and he's got power in both hands but what i meant is he looks to throw the right hand far too often. Learn to read between the lines.
