Comments Thread For: Mayweather Feels Pacquiao-Horn Was Not Worthy of ESPN

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs) and ESPN's Stephen A. Smith traded some words over Mayweather's career-ending fight against Andre Berto in September 2015. Mayweather announced his retirement after dominating Berto over twelve rounds at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"So it's okay for Pacquaio to fight Horn, a guy we don't even know?"

The f**k is he talking about? That match up was universally thrashed by just about every human on this earth.

Lol sorry floyd not the same thing. The berto fight was way worse. How can you criticise pac vs horn being on Basic cable when you conned the American people out of their hard earned money by putting that ***** show against berto on ppv.

I crapped on pac horn too but at least it wasn't on ppv and he was undefeated. We've seen berto lose to the likes of soto karas and Ortiz ffs and we are supposed to buy into the idea of him being a viable opponent as the last fight for the greatest fighter of our generation?

Disrespectful that Smith can't even remember it's Jeff, not Joe. Horn is no great shakes but he can fight a bit, give him some credit, although Pacquaio is way past his prime and time to call it a day, or after one more fight.

Pacquiao's fight was on basic cable, yours was $69.99 (+$10 for HD). Floyd truly is a dumbass sometimes.

The guy Pacquiao fought, I don’t even know his name right now.
            LOL

Stephen A is an annoying cvnt. I'm glad Mayweather put him in his place. As for getting Horn's name wrong, not surprised...this was the "boxing expert" who when Thurman said Naseem Hamed was entertaining replied, "..until he got knocked out", mistaking him for Amir Khan.

I feel that half mayweather fights were not ppv worthy because against vastly outclassed foes he didn't close the show like alll the greats did

Giving six more boring rounds when the danger was over for that money your safety is first but then we deserved some excitement
