Comments Thread For: NSAC Head: McGregor's Win Over Diaz Was Key in Fight Approval

According to Nevada State Athletic Commission head Bob Bennett , Conor McGregor's victory over Nate Diaz in their UFC 202 rematch was a big key in approving the upcoming boxing match between the UFC superstar and five division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Since the announcement of their deal, the fight has generated a lot of controversy, because McGregor - with zero experience as a boxer - is facing a boxer who is arguably one of the best defensive fighters in history.

Translation: After McGregor avenged his defeat we were relieved because the big "MONEY" fight was back on. And that's what was the defining factor in approving the fight.

          What utter bullshit!

Money was the key to getting Floyd and Conor's fight approved by NSAC.

So another non boxer In Nate Diaz Is the deciding factor In Mcgregor getting approved for a fight with a guy that has 49 professional boxing matches. It all makes sense now.

The fact that McGregor was able to hold his own with Diaz, score knockdowns and take big punches on the chin without going down - Bennett was more than convinced that a fight with Mayweather was doable

So Ward couldn't Murdock who was ranked no.5 in one of the sanctioning bodies because they saw it as a mismatch, yet McGregor can fight because he beat another UFC fighter in an entirely different sport, in a rematch to a fight he got destroyed in, and went life and death in the rematch.

              Great logic.

Ridiculous bullsheet like this just makes you seem guilty. If he had stayed quiet some people might assume he was on the level.
