he did school him thoguh, theres two seperate accounts of it. the ring magazine published the sparring notes, dougie fisher said he got wobbled twice and ggg had to take foot off the gas. another source verified it. things have changed since then so it doesnt matter on fight night but by the two accounts ggg won the spar quite clearly.

kovalev, ggg and canelo have different opinions on the sparring, but you are right, canelo is a different animal now so it wont matter...

I dunno about this. Nullifying GGG's power. To do so, Canelo would need to put in alot of energy which he's not acustomed to(He seems to fade in between rounds which he can't afford). Plus GGG is pretty accurate when he goes for specific shots.

I don't think anyone who truly knows boxing or doesn't have some ulterior motive (Floyd) believe Canelo is going to win easily.

I guess that's news to me. I've been following a lot of these Canelo/GGG threads and never read anyone claiming that GGG schooled Canelo in sparring. I agree though, even if he did it doesn't matter. That was 6 years ago.

Hopefully this fight lives up to the hype and no BS decisions or drama.

The sad thing is, as good of a fight as this should be, nobody is talking about it. The only fight in the spotlight is the crapshow of Mayweather McGreggor.

You'd be surprised how many clowns still bring that up. They keep saying that Triple g rocked Canelo when they sparred 7 years ago and that's why Triple g will win the fight.

I think Canelo will forfeit. Well actually he might get in the ring and then as soon as the bell rings to start the fight his corner will throw in the towel. Of course kidding.

My prediction is 10th round TKO for Golovkin. I do not think it is an easy fight for Golovkin though I know there is a sizable portion of Golovkin people who do.

It may turn out to be a good fight that could go either way or maybe Canelo wins in a close fight. I can see how people could predict Canelo to win but winning easy, there simply is nothing in Canelo's career that leads to that as a reasonable/logical assumption. There is nothing in Golovkin's career that leads to that as a reasonable assumption either. IMO that is strictly just a leap of faith prediction. Of course anything is possible.
