I don't give a damn about rankings. So if you're not dropped from rankings that means you never retired?
What part of mayweather retired after DLH don't you understand?
Multiple world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr has agreed to come out of retirement to fight British boxer Ricky Hatton.
The 30-year-old Mayweather had ended his boxing career after his split-decision victory over Oscar De La Hoya to win the WBC super-welterweight title in May.
But the prospect of facing Hatton was enough incentive for the flamboyant Mayweather to return to the ring.
Mayweather's adviser Leonard Ellerbe agreed the challenge was too good to turn down.
"We've agreed to the fight. We're excited that Ricky Hatton is stepping up to the plate. It's like this - he asked for it and now he's going to get it," he said.
The 28-year-old Hatton will move up a division from light-welterweight for the fight.
Hatton's trainer Billy Graham said the fight presented an opportunity for Hatton to etch his name in boxing history.
"He set out to become the undisputed champion of the world and that's what he did," he said.
"Now we've got a chance to go against the man who's generally regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. You know it doesn't get any better than that."
The bout promises to be a mouth-watering contest with both boxers undefeated in their professional careers.
Five-weight champion Mayweather is expected to put his WBC welterweight title on the line against Hatton on December 8 in Las Vegas.
When you retire you are immediately stripped and dropped from all rankings. I.e when Mayweather retired after he fought Hatton.Comment

Hiw is he fighting McGregor if he OFFICIALLY retired after Berto?
Which one is it?
Are you guys really this damn ****** and defending this man tooth and nail like this?Comment

Do you even know the definition of retire?Comment

How do you officially retire and fight another 11 fights or so?
Based off your definition, I guess Mayweather never retired in the first place. Even though Floyd said he's retired 3-4 times, you're saying he never retired at all. You can't officially retire then continue to fight
Which one is itComment

How in the HELL did he "officially" retire if he fought Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana and Berto if he "officially" retired after Hatton?

When he retired in December 2007, when he returned in 2009 he was unranked and had no belts (because he was retired)
Today, he's unranked and has no belts (because he was retired.
After Oscar, he said he was going to retire but then didn't, kept his belts and kept his rankings and fought 7 months later.
I don't know how I can make this easier for you. Any suggestions?Comment

And no I'm not saying he never retired at all.
I said he retired December 2007 and September 2015.
An athlete can retire and then come back man. What don't you get?
Micheal Jordan and George Foreman officially retired. But then they came back at a later date.
Mayweather didn't retire after Oscar just like Brandon Rios didn't retire after Bradley. Despite both of them SAYING they are going to retire it. There is saying it and then there is doing it.
You do struggle a lot it seems.Comment

What? Because you can officially retire and then come out of retirement. Just like he did in 2009 and is doing now.
When he retired in December 2007, when he returned in 2009 he was unranked and had no belts (because he was retired)
Today, he's unranked and has no belts (because he was retired.

Look at this fool dance.
Mayweather: Dan, I retired after De La Hoya, Hatton, and Berto and will retire again after McGregor. I said so myself
IronDanhamza: No you didn't retire, Floyd. Not officially at least. You never officially retired because of the rankings. I understand you said you retired, but I won't accept that cause I can't concede this debateComment

Floyd certainly doesn't want to get bodied by GGG.
GGG would walk through Mayweather easily at this stage of their respective careers.Comment
