So many idiots on here that don't understand that Joshua and Wilder have MANDATORY fights they have to take or they must vacate their belts. We will get this fight in time as long as both guys keep winning, just enjoy the ride until we get thereComment

I would say the idiots are the ones that think belts are a legitimate excuse to not make the best fights possible.Comment

Although I would prefer to see Joshua-Wilder as soon as possible, keeping all the titles in play makes sense. While normally unifications trump mandatories, this case both belt organizations are refusing to allow it because the mandatories have been outstanding for a while.
He could give up both belts and fight Wilder of course, but I think both sides want the belts on the line.
But let's see if Hearns actually puts Joshua in with Ortiz . . . .
I dont see Wilder having a problem making whatever mandatory WBC order.Comment

There's not been an undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis and BOTH Wilder and Joshua have talked about wanting to be unified heavyweight champion. If you class that as an illegitimate excuse then you clearly have an agenda.Comment

Wladimir was about as "undisputed" as it gets in the near decade (in separate stints of inactivity)his brother spent away from the sport during his reign. Real fight fans don't need belts to tell them who the class of a division is.Comment

What fight fans want or need is irrelevant. Both Joshua and Wilder want to be unified champion, ergo expecting either of them to fight each other in a situation where they will have to drop any of their belts is ludicrous.Comment
