now you get to answer the golden question.....

.... explain why " respect for boxing " was a good enough reason to refuse to negotiate on weight with Cotto/Canelo..... but not a good enough reason to refuse to negotiate on weight with Rosado?

Maybe the stakes were higher for the lineal championship than a fight vs.Rosado.

You are crying because Canelo couldn't fight for the MW title at a catchweight which he absolutely did not need. Dude grow a pair.
That "golden question" is a actually a loaded question, containing a logical fallacy, because GGG didn't refuse to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo. He was never given the chance to negotiate on weight with either of them.

Cotto was never going to fight GGG before he fought Canelo, there wasn't a snowball in hell's chance of that happening at any weight.

Likewise Canelo never offered to fight GGG at at a catchweight before he vacated his title. Oscar's plan was always to stall and delay fighting GGG for as long as possible.

No you think you can because like most tools you're full of yourself. And I'm sure there isn't a whole lot to be full of yourself about.

Funny you telling me to grow up when you are whining about a boxer like a freakin' kid.

Well said and I agree. Cotto only had eyes for Canelo. That was the big money fight and IMO easier fight.

I actually think Canelo would have fought Golovkin at 160. DLH wasn't having that and the catchweight was just an excuse. They would have come up with another one.

FACT: GGG totally refused to negotiate on weight with Cotto/Canelo

Golovkin, K2 Firm That Cotto Title Fight Would Be at '160'.....
There’s history at middleweight,” Golovkin said in regards to a possible showdown with Cotto.....“Miguel is champion at 160. I want the WBC belt, I need the WBC belt. We fight at 160.”..... Loeffler explained. “Whatever negotiations are, it’s for the middleweight championship, the fight will be at 160.

No Negotiating Weight With Canelo, 160 or Vacate.....
Loeffler explained to Sky Sports..... "against Canelo there wouldn't be any negotiations about the weight. It would be two middleweight champions fighting each other at 160-pounds".....

interestingly, in the article above..... despite promising that "if Canelo vacates the title.....then anything is negotiable..... and weight."..... after Canelo vacated his title, K2 still totally refused to negotiate on weight

                have some pride, you fool

Golovkin totally refused to negotiate on weight with two SUPERSTARS, saying that a catchweight would be..... "disrespectful to boxing"

but he then offered Gabe "average" Rosado a catchweight

                keyword = " average "

                have some pride

"He said .. she said .. they said .."

You still don't understand the difference between promoters talking to the media and negotiations?

Did either Cotto or Canelo ever offer to fight GGG at a catchweight when they had the WBC belt and he was their mandatory challenger ... yes or no?

So the article shows the Cotto/Canelo fight was already in place, so there were no negotiations. Where's your link prior to that fight? You don't negotiate away your position before negotiations start.

Isn't it amazing that Canelo is fighting at 160 right now. Is there any doubt that he could have last year quite easily? But you want to blame Golovkin for wanting the fight for the MW title at 160. Because of that he was to blame for the fight not happening last year not the guy coming up with some BS excuse. Which by the way was DLH in my opinion and not Canelo. That is beyond idiotic.
