That still wouldn't mean shieeet coz if we be crooks orders the negotiation date then Golovkin will have to sit with Charlo at the table or throw give Charlo his belt like Canelo gave Golovkin his belt.

It's funny coz these guys didn't say nothing like this when Wade and Monroe were mandatories, now Charlo is the mandatory all of a sudden he gotta 'earn' the shot?

First it was anyone from 154 to 168, then it was anyone from 154 to 168 except if it's Ward or Lara, and now it's except if it's a Ward, Lara, or a Charlo bro?

I feel that his Coach, is just trying to HYPE up his own fighter.... Maybe there is trouble in the Camp, so the Hype must be spread....

He actually said exactly this. But BScene cuts interviews in parts so the whole picture is not seen by the readers. His point was while GGG is busy with Canelo and Saunders, Charlo shall accommodate himself at 160 and get recognition so that by the time these two fight this could become a prize fight with fan support from both sides.

            "Ward doesn't make financial sense"
            "Lara doesn't sell tickets"
"Charlo has to earn a shot"

"GGG can't find anyone that wants to fight him. We have trouble getting opponents in the ring with him"

This is the guy who agreed to fight Dmitry Pirog, the man who knocked out Jacobs, for like 100 grand or something on regular HBO, and signed the contracts and everything. It was going to happen until Pirog injured his back in training.

But you think he's ducking? Come on. What Abel is saying is that these guys are barely better known than Willie Monroe Jr., so if they're willing to get paid like Willie Monroe Jr. to fight GGG, the fights can happen tomorrow, or as soon as GGG has a free date, but if these guys think they're superstars, and expect to get paid like superstars when they fight GGG, then they better be able to bring the fans and pay-per-view buys that superstars bring, and in order for them to do that, they need to actually fight some guys and become better known the way GGG has.

If they want to get paid like superstars, then they need to actually take some good fights so they can become superstars. Simple. Jacobs took a step in that direction by fighting Quillin, and that's why Jacobs got the purse he wanted to make the GGG fight, otherwise he would have ducked GGG too. Abel is saying if Charlo wants that type of payday, he needs to do the same thing at 160 by beating someone like Jacobs, or if Jacobs wants an even higher payday to rematch GGG than the first fight, then Jacobs needs to keep building his name by beating someone like Charlo. GGG isn't a ducker like a lot of boxers you are used to.
Correct. GGG will fight Charlo either way if successful vs Canelo and Saunders, should Charlo become a prize fighter (good payday) or sit and wait till mandatory position is forced (mandated split). And Canelo and Saunders are not tune ups, they are no Heilands of the world. So be silent because as of now there are no tune up Adamas in line for GGG.

GGG team's logic is simple yet not communicated properly by them: (1) All the belts or (2) prize fights, and they should stress these two objectives more clearly, otherwise dumbasses like Dontae bias nation don't get it. It's not only one objective - all the belts - like they always say. There are two. Otherwise they wouldn't have chased Canelo. People got 'All the belts", but Prize fighting is not communicated by GGG team properly. I'd even say they can't connect with audience when talking about prize fighting.

When fighter 'A side' says potential opponent 'C side' should become a bigger 'B side' name, this is often interpreted as a way to avoid/duck this opponent, and rightfully so. But with GGG it's a different case:
                - Before becoming a prizefighter, GGG was that 'C side' and fought anybody available be it Proksa, Macklin, Adama just to build his name and relevance at 160, and often for very little money (Proksa's fight purse covered only the cost of organising the event).
                - After becoming a prizefighter, GGG definitely avoided Fletcher, Heiland, tried to avoid Wade (unsuccessfully due to IBF strict rules that got Tyson Fury stripped right away), didn't challenge Tureano Johnson because those are C side fighters. Did he duck them? No. But would GGG fight them if forced? Yes.

So when GGG team says Charlo should establish himself at 160, they want Charlo to become that name that fans get behind and come to and pay for the fight, that it becomes a prize fight. If GGG beats Charlo that fought nobody relevant at 160, then he'd be criticised the same way as against Brook. If Lemieux on his long-win streak KO'd Stivens before his fight with GGG, then GGG-Lemieux would have been bigger than it was. If Charlo beat Lemieux, then GGG-Charlo event will be worth coming to, and I'm saying this as a fan who travelled across the ocean for his fights against Jacobs and Lemieux (didn't come for Wade fight, guess why?).

Ward and Lara were mentioning him a looong time. He looks the same he just finally fought a live body in Jacobs...and now he's even scared to do that again.
