Jacobs already beat 3g and now canelo probably will as well....

I did not know Jacobs beat GGG. I thought GGG came to Jacobs's home town and beat him by UD by throwing and landing more and harder punches in the majority of the rounds. Funny thing, Canelo is the betting underdog and GGG is the betting favorite.

I agree with him. Even at age 35 I don't think there is a middleweight fighting today who can beat GGG. Jacobs and Canelo are great champions but I think GGG is better than either of them even though he is past prime. He already beat a 180 pound on fight night Jacobs and I think he will KO Canelo. We will all find out how good he is or isn't in less than 6 weeks.

Jacobs was the slightly bigger, faster fighter. Yet he fought off his back foot, was knocked down, and never had GGG in trouble. Please indicate which 7 rounds you feel were won by Jacobs.

Jacobs showed he can be beaten so that's not true. Even if the Jacobs fight never occurred, Golovkin is not invincible. He's been carefully matched. He has power and good skills but also has flaws. He would much rather move down and fight an aging Mayweather than move up and fight a equally skilled fighter in Ward. I also think Canelo has what it takes to beat him but that's another story.

what does his size have to do with anything? Sky sorts and box nation both had him winning.... Mayweather has been fighting guys that outweigh him by 10 to 20 pounds his life... I dont remember you russian wannabe fan boys ever giving him credit for that.... So save your salty tears

Jacobs didn't win a single measure, not punches landed, not punches landed per round, not harder punches, not punches done more damage, and not swaying the judges.

And it gets worse when you rewatch and slow the fight down, it becomes clear Jacobs flashy punches didn't land nearly as often as first seemed. Judges got it right, if anything they over played Jacobs success.

Golovkin, operating on the front foot throughout the whole fight, outlanding Jacobs with 231 punches to 175, per Compubox.

Hell, ggg outlanded him in 9 of 12 rounds, tied one

GGG did far more damage too.

It was a good fight, but one Golovkin clearly should have won.

Other than the UK who among the press had Jacobs? I saw two draws and everyone else had it for Golovkin. I heard lots of fighters who said they had Jacobs, but how many of them actually scored the fight? They are like most fans who just watch a fight and then give an opinion based on the totality of the fight. IMO there were a lot of biases in this fight. Don't discount the role that the huge expectations that Golovkin was going to KO Jacobs had on some people. And in fairness these expectations were set by Golovkin fans more than anyone else. When that didn't happen and it turned out to be a much closer fight a lot of people over valued Jacobs accomplishment. You watch that fight with no expectations and it is a close fight but definitely the right guy won. The score cards were right on the money.

I'm also going to throw it out there that there is a fair amount of dislike for European fighters. The I'm not losing to no white boy thinking exist and it isn't just Bernard Hopkins. There is no doubt that the history of boxing has been dominated by African Americans and Latinos. I think there is an element of who the f does this Euro think he is.

After Canelo beats GGG, maybe Jacobs will be GGGs comeback fight. And GGG would likely lose that one too. The first was a close one, I had it a draw I seem to remember, but Jacobs knows what to expect now. Just my 37 cents worth.
