I don't remember when I watched that fight, if I saw it through an American or a UK network. I am used to American commentators always favoring the African American boxers all the time, whether they truly won or not.

If any English commentators, even a single one, gave the fight to Jacobs, then I am thoroughly disappointed in them.

Jacobs was the MUCH BIGGER AND FASTER guy, yet he ran away, held and fought defensively the whole fight. He got knocked down as well. The meaningful punches, and the one with an offensive-aggressive attitude the whole fight was GGG, who was the defending champion and it's supposed to be the other way around.

Again, if the English commentators truly felt Jacobs won, then I will trust no commentator ever again.

Have to agree with Provo. I like Canelo but I think he bit off more than he can chew by not fighting a proper middleweight in preparation for GGG.

You're telling me fighting Kell Brook was a challenge we had to see Golovkin take on? Oh, let me guess, no one else in the division would fight him so he just had to suck it up an take on a WW... to make fans like you happy. Or ask to fight another well known WW.
Was Kell brook his first choice? No he wanted Saunders then try to arrange a fight with Eubank and when that didnt materialize Hearn offered him the Brook fight. Lets not pretend he went straight for Brook...

You say he has been carefully managed because he didnt go up in weight? Its not like he's a massive middleweight to begin with. whats the point of moving up and taking easy fights? what would that prove exactly? 168 doesnt exactly have a huge wealth of talent either

Ppl forget that Jacob's punches were arm punches, nothing behind them. Gggs jabs shake walls. No sane man can give Jacobs 4 rounds. Bruvvas crazy.

I said he was carefully managed because he was... Easy fights in his division. When he looked for a challenge he looked down in weight class instead of up. He picked Jacobs because he had a KO loss and was dropped in a recent fight by a "light puncher." It backfired because Jacobs gave him more of a fight than he expected. That forced him to accept the "B-side" against Canelo.

He could have moved up and fought Ward when he was available but he was looking at easy challenges like Chavez Jr instead.

Jacobs is one of the top guys at Middleweight, He picked Jacobs because he demolished Peter Quillin in 1 round and had amassed a number of KO victories since his loss to Pirog. Its the same reason he fought Lemieux because Lemieux was on a good run of KO victories.

Dont try and pretend like he was avoiding Canelo...Everyone knows who was ducking who

I give him credit for fighting Jacobs and Lemieux but don't tell me his team didn't see something in both that they can exploit. I already explained Jacobs. Lemieux is slow and got beat a guy Golovkin destroyed. That was a no brainer for them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking his matchmaking. Everyone does it. However, he can't claim invincibility and supremacy from it. The one person he could have proved against was Ward but he whiffed. Ward moved up and targeted the top fighter in the division and beat him twice. That's how you prove your worth. Not fighting Brook and targeting Mayweather.

Where did I say he was avoiding Canelo?
