Saunders turned down the fight, this isn't in question. Now who knows what the true number is but there is no doubt he turned it down. Golovkin went to the UK to fight. You think he wouldn't have fought Saunders?

You're not saying anything new. Expo 2017 was the Gold mine for Saunders and Gennady and to be undisputed. Saunders said he'd have no problem fighting in Astana- "his home country" during Expo 2017 which was the K2 prospect for years, yet the lowballed all of that shamefully to make more money against Alvarez because of the PPV. That's a disservice to the Kazakh people.

Could've been undisputed in Astana and instead would rather lose to Alvarez and hand over his belts. Ironic innit. "Handing over"

Actually the general public wasn't asking because they don't know who he is. It was the boxing fans that don't necessary like Mayweather, because they think this is the winnable fight. I really don't care which one of the fight took place because I think Mayweather is capable of beating Golovkin just as Ward. The thing you should ask yourself (as a Golovkin fan I assume) why would he go down in weight to take on a lesser challenge when a win over Ward would be more commendable? Don't tell me it's about the money because if that's the case, everyone from Vladimir Klitschko on down should be asking to fight Mayweather. If he's invincible, he shouldn't be looking down for a fight, he should be looking up. Yes, both fights are out of reach, but Ward was just as available when he was asking to fight Mayweather.

Pretty simple why he would go down in weight, money and fame. Everyone knows Mayweather on the other hand Ward is basically a no name outside of boxing. And money of course would have been one of the principle reasons for Golovkin wanting this fight.

Golovkin says boxing is business. Sure he wants titles and fame but he has never said he only boxes just for the fun of it. I don't blame any of these guys for not facing each other. I don't believe anyone ducked anyone. Golovkin-Mayweather would have been an easier fight to make IMO but just because the money would have been really good for Golovkin at almost any percentage. Negotiations between him and Ward could be down right ugly.

I'm answering your question. You said he didn't chase Saunders. He actually did try to make the fight back in 2016. Saunders finally did agree to a fight this year, I didn't deny that. I said Golovkin made the decision to fight Canelo instead. De La Hoya was threatening that no fight could be made if he took on Saunders. So given the two choices and the fact he came off a tough fight vs. Jacobs it was an easy choice. You realize the idea is to make money in boxing? LOL, you guys sound like a bunch of damn hippies. These guys, especially the guys who aren't already loaded with millions upon millions are putting their lives on the line to make money first and foremost, not to satisfy internet trolls.

That's your come back. Because I said "chasing". I think you got your butt handed to you when I showed that Golovkin did try and make a fight. Saunders turned it down. Golovkin went to the UK and had a fight with Eubanks essentially finalized until the last minute. That's how the Brook fight came about. You think he wouldn't have fought Saunders?

I'm not even making that big a deal about it. I believe Saunders did want the fight against Golovkin. I have no doubt Golovkin would have loved to have made that fight but with Canelo there for the taking he couldn't jeopardize that chance. That totally makes sense to anyone with a brain cell. I'm sure if defeats Canelo he'll still have his eye on Saunders. But hey maybe Monroe will win it.

I don't even know what you are blathering on about. I didn't deny that Golovkin skipped a potential fight with BJS in June. He did try and make a fight in 2016 which Saunders turned it down. Golovkin had a good reason to turn down the fight down this year and that reason is manifesting itself now in the biggest fight in boxing (and he's facing the lineal champion). Now, fine BJS turned down the fight vs. Golovkin. Who the hell did he fight after turning Golovkin down?

As for BJS and Alvarez I have nothing to say. I don't know the facts. I didn't mention anything between them.

If his goal is money and fame I'm assuming competition is not that relevant to him. Therefore, you can't bill yourself as unbeatable, or avoided. He can't be avoided if he's choosing fights based on how much money or fame he'll get.

I'm not sure you even know what your own argument is.

How do you obtain fame in boxing? By titles and much more importantly you gain it by beating other well know fighters.

Things are not mutually exclusive. There is little doubt that for many years Golovkin was avoided in the MW division. In the past few years he has finally got the fights culminating in his fight vs. Canelo. He isn't being avoided now.
