UM...you were referred to the journal.Lomachenko fighting a bum who threw like 12 punches but still left the fight more beat up than the loser lmfao.
I agree with lomechenko his defense sucks like he said "I NEED TO WORK ON MY DEFENSE". Yeah go work on that cause you can only win against b- level fighters and your track record proves it.
Be a good boy and follow directions like teacher said.Comment
Oh trust me, if Loma's resume had nothing but Marriagas on it I wouldn't be tooting his horn.
Yeah, Loma's last two opponents haven't been what we'd like to see him with. But these fights were fairly close together. There is still enough time to get another fight in this year against a better fighter.
Yes, I'm really hoping he does, too.Comment

Teddy atlas pointed it out and pretty much called it said vasyl is cheating cause hes intentional stepping on dudes feets. he corrected his strong language of course cause he knows how the game goes.
He had a great point in saying someone as vastly talented as lomachenko who has great footwork and control will know how to avoid stepping on his feet if he wanted too and then espn zoom zooms closer to show the feets and you can see lomachenko fishing with his feet trying to step on marriage feets.Comment

When people ever taken it out on the promoter of a fighter? That is not how sports work, if a fighter doesn't live up to the hype that the media and promoters put on that...The Fighter Will Suffer! It has always been that way that is not gonna change for Loma!Comment

Yeah, I didn't think you had an answer to that question.
Loma takes 7 rounds to get rid of of a guy coming up in weight and coming off a loss at the lower weight where he only managed to take a total of 3 rounds out of a possible 36 scored by 3 judges.
But somehow, Loma is going to beat Mikey, who just took 12 rounds worth of shots from one of the biggest punchers 2 and 3 weight classes above Loma's
OK, if you say so...Comment

Is Loma good ?
True, I think them pushing the "in just x number of fights" thing makes it sound like he's some young gun far exceeding expectations when that's far from a fair characterization of his boxing career.
But he's still pretty dam good. Made Walters look ****** and heartless, outboxed Russell, KO'd martinez all of which was after a SD loss to Salido. I mean that's not exactly a HOF resume lol but it's a very strong trajectory.
I made this thread because I was surprised to see how much negative people had to say about how Lomachenko looked against Marriaga. I thought more of the negative talk would revolve around the fact that he chose to fight Marriaga in the first place, and it's fair to bring up how this is his second weak opponent in a row.
It just irked me how a couple months ago everyone said Loma looked like a beast, and yet after this fight people are acting like he can't box all of a sudden. Maybe not his best performance ever but let's not make more of this fight than it was.
Hell yes he is!
Can he potentially be an ATG?
It seems he is off to an excellent start.
Should he be compared to greats right now?
HELL NO!!!!!
You have to beat other GREAT FIGHTERS to be great.
Last I checked, Loma hasn't done that yet.
He has good, not great wins on his resume.
And while some want to marvel at all he has done in so few pro fights, I wonder what exactly SHOULD WE HAVE EXPECTED from a guy with so much experience, amateur notwithstanding.Comment
