He was certainly a bigger star, one of the pioneers of boxing, bringing it into the 20th century and a brutal ,entertaining fighter...but can you explain if his world title reign was longer? If he had as many defences? If he faced better opposition? How long his championship level career lasted?

Heck, he would barely be a cw by todays standards.

Can you do the same for Fitzsimmons?

And which one of the current hws?
Of course, Jack Dempsey was the heavyweight champ for 8 years in an era where you had to literally train 24/7 as you'd be fighting 5 fights in a month or more so your more susceptible to getting injured or fatigue and lose!

He beat the original Great White Hope!

At 187 pounds he regularly beat much much larger men like they were his son!

His technique was ahead of his time and he was just as defined with straight punches as Wlad!

    Fitzsimmons is just otherworldly!
A small guy but with a heavyweight frame and power that rivaled heavyweights!

He was a fighter that guy by on his power and feinting skills!

He knocked out 7 men in one night under 19 rounds and most of them weighed above 200 pounds!

The guy beat a natural heavyweight in James Corbett who likely outweighed him by 50 pounds and still whooped him!

He lost lots of fights due to his age and hand injuries!

Klitschko lost to a bigger man while theses legends routinely found a way to get giants on their backs!

Klitschko beat the comp he did mainly due to his reach, size and jab!

Imagine if he was fighting mostly 6'7 or 6'8 guys, I think it would make a difference since he's so use to fighting small guys!

And what I mean by Curren heavyweights I mean whoever beats say for example if Luis Ortiz cleans out heavyweight or Joshua or if Wilder somehow beats Joshua, Ortiz, and Parker!

Those names alone are better than the names Wlad has on his resume!

Ok this is how I know you don't know ****. Dempsey did not hold the title for 8 years and he did not fight the type of schedule you think he did. He defended the title 6 times but a large chunk of his title reign (almost 5 years, spread across the reign) were spent fighting menaingless exhibitions and shows and appearing on stage.

GTFOH. You have been schooled little boy.

Come on bro, Wlad was a heartless bum. The complete OPPOSITE of a blood and guts warrior. Every time he was hurt and pressured he folded. The complete opposite of a fighter like Juan Manual Marquez.

Ok, I may have exaggerated a little bit but allow me to correct you young lad...his title reign was 7 years!

And yes there were times he had fought within a 2 month span which is unheard of in today's world as a championship caliber fighter!

Whether you like it or not Dempsey was better than your favorite fighter and would kick your a$$ for throwing dirt on his name you insufferable little *****!
