Tunney..
Not Wlads fault his time at top had no real comp but I believe he would do well in other era's due to his size, jab and conditioning!
I don't think there were 20 better heavyweights than Wlad. Once he hit his stride and perfected his style he was very hard to beat and very good at knocking heavyweights out. He was a fighting champion for many years and fought all the top contenders in a timely manner.
Wlad has cemented his place in the annals of heavyweight greatness.
Vitali would KO him, and Vitali is NEVER mentioned in a heavyweight all time great convo. Wlad was king of a weak era, the weakest in history. I have a better idea, NAME 1 HALL OF FAMER WLAD BEAT..

Dempsey, Marciano & Tyson are pressure guys using a "pressure style" instead of a stand up boxers form. However their pressure style is extremely difficult to master and the conditioning needed to perform at a high level is extreme.
Lyle, Foreman, Bowe and Lewis are stand up punchers who have good boxing skills. This is the group that Wlad would fit into but to a lesser ranking position wise.
I give Wlad credit for being champion but he was not a gifted boxer by any means. He was a basic one/two puncher who had a limited defense and held constantly. Never learned to clinch or
sustain a body attack.
If he was trained in the States in his youth he could have been a much better talent because he was a good athlete.
Nice man and a gentleman but certainly not a great boxer.
Some of you guys are such dorks about sh^t like this. I don't see the appeal.
Klitschko was among the best fighters of his era. Thats all anyone can be.
Everything else is subjective bs being speculated on by cats who've seen like 5 Joe Louis fights & 7 Ali fights so why would anyone give a f#ck about your (royally using "your" so no dork gets all mad at me & suggest I'm accusing them of something) opinion historical any f#cking way.

I like & respect both you cats so I'm not busting your balls or anything, but seriously a legit question for you both & anyone who threw up a list.
Of the guys mentioned how many fights would you guessimate you've seen of each guy?
I used to nerd out on ESPN Classic & a couple guys listed I don't think I ever seen one fight they were in. And several cats on the list I think I've seen less then 3 to 5 fights they had & as a guy who started watching boxing in the late 80's I think anyone pre-late 80's except Louis & Ali (who I worshiped at different times thus dug deeper than normal for their fights) I've for sure seen 10 or less of their fights. And idk how much you can really know about all time status with 10 fights worth of knowledge of what they did in the ring in a sport with a 100 year plus history in its current form. Although maybe my list of fights seen is drastically inferior than you guys specifically or other cats here. For example I'm sure some of the cats in the history section have seen a high % of the available fights for many of these guys, but I think they are in a tiny minority of fans with that much research done on past fighters.
/rant & legit just curious how much time guys have spent on watching past fighters to give an honest assessment that is already a tough task with the limited availability of fights one can see on some past fighters
