Sounds like the ideal plan.

The more I look at Loma the more I doubt he will finish his career at 147 as he does have a rather small frame. Smaller guys like him need to take more time to put on weight properly. And for Mikey he would need to be solid.

But then again, Salido was massive in their fight and all the nonsese of that fight aside Loma almost knocked his ass out in the end...

They just need to be intelligent and going after Mikey now is not a good move. Fight Flanagan, have a good defense and fight Mikey if he is still there.

As far as 140lb...I think he would need a few more years of acclimation, he would still have the speed to counter his lack of size but you got some big boys at 140.

I also thought a year ago that Loma can even move up to 147 in 2-3 years but now I am very doubtful. 140 will be his maximum division.

And even the Salido rematch can be made at 135. Why waste a whole year just to wait for Salido and staying at 130 when no other champ wants to fight you ? Ideally Loma forgets Salido and fights Flanagan in December. And in 2018 title unification bout against Garcia.

I am now convinced the Mikey vs. Loma fight is 100% going to happen.

Loma calling out Mikey, Mikey saying he wants to fight Loma...A lot of headlines with these two mentioning each others names lately...

Now Mikey and Loma take a picture at Loma's press conference all smiles.

Loma training at Mikey's gym, great respect between their trainers etc....yet a little bit of this artificial &hit talk from Loma.

Mikey beating Broners ass at 140lb...now Loma getting a soft touch on ESPN to build his audience a little, perhaps a Flanagan fight in 2018...Not sure what Mikeys next fight will be?

To me this all is starting to look like a well coordinated build up to a Mikey vs. Loma bout for the end of 2018.
